Wood Sandpiper in the shallow water

Now in Summer it is really difficult to get some bird pictures because you either need to get up very early or stay out very long before the birds come out of their hides. Some of them usually also avoide the hot time of the day and stay somewhere in the shaddow. In spring it is a lot easier to find some nice birds like these because a lot of them are looking for a mate and are a lot more trusting.

Wood sandpipers are some really nice waders that search shallow water for some small insects and invertibrates. Therefore it is a little bit easier to get some nice pictures of them when you position yourself on the ground near a water puddle with the birds nearby. They often come closer and closer to you when they know you are not a threat to them.

all the pictures are good but the last one is the most amazing.

Thank you, and I thought it might be the worst since of Bad light condition.

It looks so beautiful and the results are satisfying.

Without a doubt, dear friend @florian-glechner, spring days are the best when it comes to going out to photograph birds, and they are also busy trying to find a partner

What a beautiful bird, I appreciate you letting us know
Have a wonderful day
