Male and female blackbird in the park

In winter when it is cold I can take some nice close pictures of birds that live in the Park at the cementary. Since these birds often live in the undergrowth of trees or bushes. It is nice to get some closeup pictures of them when I lay down there and wait for them to get closers. But in winter I always have to be carefull not to get too cold and get ill, this can happen easily when I forget to bring a blanket or a Iso-mat for lying down. But when I have a mat with me I can stay there for hours in a nice coat and watch the birds that live there. Most of them are blackbirds, some tits, like the blue tit the great tit and the coal tit.

This time I want to show you some pictures of the blackbirds I found there. It is nice to watch them searching for food in between the leaves and when they scratch the ground for worms and other invertibrates.

The blackbird is one of the more common birds here in Austria and eventough it has not the brightes colors it can sing very beautiful and I love to listen to its voice from time to time. I can't wait until spring till I will hear its beautiful song again. But spring is the time when they sing the most. I can still remember when a blackbird couple was breeding in the rain drain of my house. It was nice watching them sitting on the nest and flying back and forth.

Excellent and high-quality photos my friend! It's great that you managed to take a photo of both the male and female so that you could see the differences.

Thank you very much. Yes it was a nice day and at the cementary they are not so shy thats why it is easier.
