For this contest I want to show you some pictures of Spoonbills that I took at Lake Neusiedler some years ago. Since white birds are more or less rare and I only had the alternative of swans and the Little Egret that I could show you I decided for the spoonbills and against the others since I think the spoonbills are a bit more interesting.
Till now I was able to see the spoonbills at Lake Neusiedler and at the Inn River and only once at the Steyr River. On no other spot in Austria I could find them. The easiest spot is probably Lake Neusiedler where they often stay for a longer time and the probability is a bit bigger to find them. On lake Neusiedler I was able to take these pictures of a spoonbill family with a child that was begging for food from the parents.
