Birdwatching in Lower Austria

in Feathered Friends4 months ago

Here I have a Picture of me with my bird watching Equipment in Lower Austria. I have a very nice and warm outfit and some Binoculars to watch the bird. And of course I also had my camera with me to take some pictures of birds that came a bit closer. At this bird watching spot there are a lot of wading birds and birds that are attracted to the water since there is a nice water basin that was used in a former Sugar Factory. The factory is not producing sugar anymore and now the basins are protected landscape area and birds use them for breeding and looking for food.

Good pictures!
I like how the bottom of the wings is clearly visible despite of being in front of bright sky. You managed to achieve good tonal range. Were you shooting raw or jpg?
How far was the marsh harrier from you while taking those pictures, approximately?

I shoot RAW. It was about 15 Meters in front of me.

Excellent photos, very high quality! Here's the bluethroat you so wanted to meet and photograph.

Thank you.
