Are you back in the groove, back into the swing of things?
This is the first full week of the New Year all wrapped up, and I am now feeling like we are on our way.
I have no idea where we are on your way to, but we sure are as hell are on our way somewhere. That is aomething which I have not said for the last couple of years, so progress I think is on the way๐
The weather is still a bit odd at the moment. Feels more like than Autumn than it does Winter, but complain I shall not! Take today for example it was rain sun rainbows all jumbled up! The variety weather pack.
I want to start to immortalise a few more things to the blockchain ... you know the deal, new year ... new year's resolutions ...
Some of you might remember that I gotmyself a new toy ๐ท last year, and I must admit that I do love flexing it from time to time.
Are you keeping fit and mobile?
Working off all those festive goodies that were consumed all too eagerly without pausing to think of the consequences?
I do make a habit of going out on the first, and this year was a walk up to our local park to feed the birds. Mrs T sometimes gets peeved when I take the camera as she knows it will be a stop start stop stop start kind of walk as I take the pictures whilst doing my Dr Doolittle bit๐คฃ
It is typical though, if I don't take the camera, then that is when you see the unexpected things.
I remember before Christmas, we went through the park to Aldi to get some messages...
Fair enough thought I, no need for the camera!
What did we see?
I'll tell you what we fluffing saw!
Lots and lots about 30-40 oystercatchers on the football field. Of course we do get them down the beach a mile a way, but a flock that size inland at the park, I have never seen that. The camera of course was at home๐คฃ
I digress!
Why change the habit of a lifetime I hear you ask..
Okay back to the park and walking and feeding the aquatic birds, then going to the monumental garden.
Taking another snap or three!

Oh that's pretty I can hear you say, but what the fluff is such an Unexpected New Year delight about that picture?
You see the hedge at the bottom, well go up a bit and look into the blue sky, do you see a roundy shape?
How about now, can you see something?
Yes the moon, here we are on a gorgeous winter's afternoon, with a gorgeous blue sky and the moon was coming to say Happy New Year!
I never take the tripod unless I am on my own, imagine the look on Mrs T's face if I spent more time fiddling around with a tripod! haha am not even going there.
Well I do wonder how much better my moon shots or any shots that I used the telezoom on would be, for that matter.
And now we have the last shot showing the daytime moon in all her glory.
It really does blow my mind, the detail that we have. I mean think for one second, just how far that is away.
You know I actually have not got a clue how my miles or kilometers or thousands I presume it is away from earth!
So there we have it, that was how we had some Unexpected New Year delights in Scotland ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ณ๓ ฃ๓ ด๓ ฟ

My new phone, Galaxy Note 22 Ultra Plus has a fantastic camera and I've seen many posting online their photos, but so far haven't gotten a good moon shot.

It's a great phone and photos are awesome. Pretty pricey, though. Yes, I need to share my AI art here, too. I get free credits on Night Cafรฉ sharing from their app so if I'm on it, I share, and I incorporate many into freewrites. I keep telling myself i'm going to make a nice post for the AI community, but time runs out in a day.
Yes I know it is expensive which I was curious to ee how people like it!

And that's a beautiful Moon in the day. I often see something like that here but sadly, I can only see them but not this close. When I tried to zoom in it on my phone I can only get a blurry one haha.

I understand Mrs. T with you and the camera LOL for years I lived the same with hubby and his video camera, and he did carry a tripod, and even sometimes he dare to do time-lapses. But now things have changed, he doesn't do so many videos and I'm the one taking the photos, ๐ and he is the one who gets desperate. A sweet revenge. I should give Mrs. T some advice ๐คฃ๐คฃ.

The camera is a Canon Powershot HS70 bridge camera, so there is only one lens with a crazy 1300mm zoom!

You are right, in fact, I started learning because of how they pride their language, making posts in their languages are fun to me and I want to be able to interact in Spanish with them soon.

I love photos of the moon and I am slowly getting back into the swing of things. It's a strange thing here as it can take most of January for most businesses to comeback after the "Christmas break" but I am looking forward to what this year brings.
Actually the same here, often January is a write off month while companies get back into it and budgets for the year get approved!
I am slowly getting shifts again but it's still a struggle.
That is so true! That always - always - ends up being the one time it is absolutely needed. And cellphone cameras don't always cut it. Case in point are all the fuzzy and blurry UFO pictures and videos taken with cellphones! If one had a proper camera with them, there'd be no doubt!
Exactly and it is almost to the point I would rather not have my phone as well of I don't have my camera, as you say the pics are fuzzy and blurry and worse than no picture at all!
I had to laugh when I read this. My wife complains at me for stopping and taking pics on any walk as well - I share your pain !!! However, we must take photos or we'll have nothing to post about - keep on going !

I can relate to this experience more than you know. I can't help but tune out that I left the camera at home. Each time I do, I oughta tick it as one more reason to take it everywhere. At least something to shoot with, something to write on.
