The Holidays Start Now!

It's official friends the holidays have started!!

Although I have been winding down since the tenth. Mrs T came home early at 1pm and does not go back to work until Monday 6th of January.

It is a great landing of Christmas and New Year's Day. Of course in Scotland we get the second of January as a public holiday as well as the first.

You know back in the day, Hogmanay and New's Year Day were much bigger here than Christmas.

But times have changed, the soul of Scotland and probably the UK has been sucked out. Traditions, people that live here now don't care about them, well at least not the ones that were practised by our ancestors.

You might remember but last Thursday while I was watching the football I was doing some online housekeeping in Time to Go, well I was back at it today.

As you you might know, I participate in a fair few amount of testnets, some that do run for upwards of a year. There was a TGE for a big testnet early this week, and I didn't fluffing qualify.

What the fluff, I must admit I have lost track of some of the testnets I was involved in during the second half of 2024, summer often does that to me, the pull of the outdoors is just too much to resist, especially when we still have daylight at 10pm!

But it just shows that if you do too much you can end up doing less than if you just focused on less in the first place!

One of my biggest faults is not practicing what I preach!

Things seem to go quiet and then you start more and let what you have on your plate slide to the floor!

Talk about sliding to the floor, looks like Santa fell off the roof or had one too many!

Normally I cook a turkey for Christmas dinner but this year I can't be fluffed as I am not sure what condition I will be in after Sunday as I am sure they will want some x-rays done and manipulate like we manipulate turkey legs!

So... for the first ever time, I am going to just cook a crown, yes a turkey crown.

One of the things I enjoyed was making a turkey soup, but in hindsight the last two years I never did it. So apart from loving dark meat, the big draw for insisting I get a whole turkey .. to get soup .. was a bit of a fallacy!

So a crown we shall get tomorrow!

Wish me luck on multiple fronts

Now I need a coffee as I have a shopping list to prepare!!

On Sunday at 8am I am going for a full spine MRI and a pelvic one, last time it hurt for a few days after. So I want all shopping done and dusted tomorrow.

Which is just as well because in today's post from @mmonline we do disclose our Top Time and Money Saving Tips for Christmas
