Sunshine and beach rewards after successful coin collecting

The second weekend of 2025 is here and with it the first weekly report and second post of my Saturday Savers Club participation for 2025.

I am publishing this in our Silver Bloggers community as we do have an interest in crypto and this involved two cryptocurrencies!

How are you getting on with your resolutions?

Mine was to stop fannying around this year and Just Do It so to speak.

So this afternoon at 2pm after I had finished what I had intended to do, I got up, got my winter woolies on (it was 2 degrees after all) and said right I am going to the beach.

As I was putting my backpack on, Mrs T pipes up with where am I going.

Gesticulating to the sunshine, yes it was a gorgeous blue sky and big yellow sun blazing... I said the beach!

Wait she said, eyes wide with pottery shards and seashells, I am coming!

I did tell you it was blue skies, so this is about 2.30pm and late afternoon as we are in winter. We didn't leave the house till about 2.15!

This year as part of my Just Do It attitude I will be much more focused on earning crypto in a variety of ways especially to report for @mmonline.

One such way is crypto trading, and this week I was heavily into AI Agent trading and thanks to $LESTER on the Virtuals protocol on BASE I snagged a 6X token in $LESTER.

I duly took profits, in all the years I have invested in crypto I have likened it to gambling.

So taking profits I took my stake and some. The tokens I am trading with now are in my eyes courtesy of the exchange, I am to coin the gambler's phrase playing with the house's money!

Flexing some nifty knitting of fingerless gloves for @shnibeer there ... who knows what the metal object is that I am holding?

Another such way of earning crypto is through the interest we receive on Hive's stablecoin Hive Backed Dollar (HBD).

I did this with Saturday Savers Club in 2023 and it was a fluffing rip roaring success.

I shall be Using the Penny a Day Savings Challenge

I have not decided how I will report my progress but at the moment I am tracking my daily progess ...

Primary Goal 1 = 667.95 HBD

Now then I did say I was doing my version of the penny savings challenge.

Ed's Special version makes use of the make hay while the sun shines philosophy...

We are forecasting to increasing our donations to the savings pot by a penny or 0.01 HBD a day. This is great until you get to the 3 HBD a day for example ... That is 21 HBD...

I have been extremely lucky to have received some amazing post payouts recently so I am topping up my 2025 savings pot ahead of schedule!

As you can see from my account screenshot I really am at 33.141 HBD in my savings pot ...

My Goal 1 why ...?

Sometimes it is far easier to save for your goal if there is a reason you are doing it.

In 2023 it was for some titanium glasses for Mrs T that still look brand new.

But ... there's more...Back to the beginning.... What is Saturday Savers Club

Saturday Savers Club is for anyone who wants to save in any currency for any purpose. The Club is a supportive group of people who meet up around the weekly post, usually on a Saturday but occasionally on a Sunday, to share tips and techniques and have fun in the process.

The jist of it is that you set two savings goals and then support members of the community.

It is easier to accomplish your goals with support and let me tell you that the members are fluffing supportive of each other!

There is a weekly savings chart with members goals on it, you comment weekly with your progress and/or make a post and support other members.

Things are a wee bit different this year... In a fluffing good way!

There is a two tiered competition with the chance to win a whopping 500 HP!

The beach reminds me of crypto... On the left side you have Hive and on the right side you have Bitcoin. Different sides but still the same beach.

Which leads me nicely into my Secondary Goal

Like many of us I sold Bitcoin well below what it is now!

I also believe it will keep going up in the long term...

So I decided to buy 3 USDT worth of Bitcoin each and every day...

The easiest way for me to do that was to get some USDT and set up an auto-invest order on Binance...

That was done and a few days ago at 3am the first automatic transaction in my BTC savings plan was taken...

So I am making a daily 3 USDT purchase of Bitcoin.

That first transaction gave a total of 0.00003036 BTC

Of course the daily 3 dollar purchase will not always be 0.00003036 BTC, sometimes it will be more and sometimes it will be less.

Of course it will be less if BTC gets to the moon...

Yeah yeah #sorrynotsorry but in my defence I did take this moon shot this afternoon, so it is part of the story!

But for the purpose of the Saturday Savers Club I will be basing the target goal on 361 days @ 0.00003036 (ignoring the first four days of 2025).

Goal 2 = 0.01095996 BTC

The amount of Bitcoin I have now is ...

... 0.00018439 Bitcoin

It is fun to collect things .... Now it is $HBD and $BTC..

There we have it, it should be an interesting year!

My SSC goals for 2025 with progress to date are :

Goal 1 = 667.95 HBD, To Date 33.141 HBD, 4.962% progress.

Goal 2 = 0.01095996 BTC, To Date 0.00018439 BTC, 1.6818% progress
