I am a Silver Blogger - why?

On 17 April 2022. Silver-Blond Lizzie started the silver bloggers community.

I've pretty much been with the community since the beginning and I wrote a blog called Silver Threads among the Gold about my 70th birthday and the photoshoot my daughter organised for me as she was away for my birthday because of covid lockdown - she was stuck in South Africa and I was in Cyprus.

The above divider was kindly given to us by SilverFish.

I chose the name SilverPanda for obvious reasons since my user name is Pandamama - given to me by my son who first introduced me to blogging.

I was invited by Silver-Blond Lizzie - who I first met some time back when I was running the CookWithUs competition and she was one of our star contributors. She is still a star for me - always producing such mouth watering food and cakes.

I've always said that Hive previously Steem saved my life. I often wonder whatever would I have done without this opportunity to keep my brain active by not only reading - but also writing.

Most of my posts have been about events in my life - daily events, as I have captured photographs and stories about events and food and enjoyed the odd contest here.

It's been wonderful making friends online and every now and then rekindling an old friendship. There just doesn't seem like there are enough hours in the day.

My time is taken up by looking after the discord account of my son's business Enemy Metal and then also caring for the
community and in busy times have worked on it morning, noon and night - and curating for Wls.

Four days ago my kids started taking me to gym with them - figuring healthy body, healthy mind and I must confess that I am feeling a lot more energised. Gym, for me, consists of 30 minutes of walking on the treadmill.

Of course I love this community and thank sweet Lizzie for inviting me here. I haven't been so active lately due to many moves - but grateful to be settled for a while.
