Yay the AVE post came!!!
I want to try it one day too, and I see that the train station is indeed stunning. I didn't see it, as we went by car, and the things we visited in the centre we went on foot.
Enjoy the remaining days :)

Yeah… I made it, to post it today. I had to guest judge a contest from the StreetArt community. So we thought this afternoon after lots of walking and exploring. Let’s go for a rest back to the hotel. So I had a little rest and time for it.
We sure will, went today also to the large park. So beautiful… tomorrow morning we go to the embassy. It’s half an hour drive up towards the end / top of Madrid. (On a map)
After that we are free for the rest of the day.
Madrid is so beautiful, it has a real impact on us. We both like it and could visit again. It is quite busy though. You have to watch we’re you walk so many people… was it busy when you visited?
Yes, it was busy in January too. I think Madrid is always busy, no matter the season :)
Yes, looks like it is always busy here.
Today even more on the road. The taxi driver was telling as the weather was so bad. A lot of people decided to take the cars to go to work. So an interesting journey we had… 🚖🚖🚖🚖🚕🚕🚕🚕
Ow, so taxi - rain- Madrid - Monday , such a painful combination 😂
Yep… it was an interesting journey with lot of horns going off in cars all around… Toet toetttttt
Hahahaha 🤣
🚕🚕🚕 I can imagine.
I like big cities, live in one medium-large one for eight years and later I always wanted to go back to live in a big centre. Husb not a fan of them at all. But if I think better, moving around by car is not optimal there, because of the traffic jams and not easy to find a parking plot if you don't have a reserved one... I imagine I would be always late to work 😂
I can imagine.
I lived in a few large cities. In Málaga city I had a car… but it was only a classic mini. “Most” of the time I found a parking spot on the road I lived, but sometimes I was driving around for a while, or double parked until somebody went away. Lol could take up to 1,5 hours hahaha
But I loved living in the big city. Everything is on your doorstep. Everything you could need you find.
Where we live now, there is nothing. In between cities. We always need a car. Nothing is walkable.
I could live both in the countryside or a large city. I adapt quickly. But maybe because I moved over 30 times… this is normal for me lol.
I do miss my own car though, when Russell is working I’m a bit stuck. But have lots of things to do….
But I just couldn’t drive with my back problems anymore.
Hope our next move is to somewhere we can walk out and have things around us. 🤞🏻 The planning is taking sooooooo longgggg. Paperwork and lots of others involved.
We wait, I’m patience.
