Family Christmas traditions #24.

Hello users!

It's true, many traditions have faded into mere memories. I'm 60 now, and my children aren't home like they used to be when I had to do the washing, ironing, cooking, and other things I did automatically. Now, after a very amicable separation, I'm alone at home. This will be my second year here, hoping for the best. My daughter is in Chile, and my other daughter and son live nearby. My grandchildren are the ones who lead the way; they inspire me to do so many things, but the country's economy isn't helping.

In previous years, it was normal to start Christmas on December 1st. Our government insists that it should begin in October, but my house is still undecorated. We started by painting, but we could only paint the parts that require latex paint. I couldn't paint the parts that require enamel, nor could I waterproof and paint the inside of the house with silk gloss. Painting the house is a beautiful tradition; it symbolizes family unity.

I want to tell you that I like to be at peace every day, but this month is very special because I don't want to be rushing around, running, or buying things compulsively. I love doing everything calmly, spending time with my friends and family, and having free time so I can just grab my purse and enjoy a pleasant moment with them.

I like the little lights; I'll wash the railings and put them up. Last year I bought hallacas; they were delicious. I like it when my mother visits me; she comes with my sister, and we have a great time.

This year I'll try to go out with my suitcase; it's a tradition I'd like to keep up so I can travel to Chile to see my daughter.I love strolling through the city, seeing the lights, and the children's joy is inspiring.

In my city, they go to great lengths to make it beautiful; it makes you want to spend hours in the streets admiring everything. The food is spectacular; I love Christmas food. It's a lovely tradition to go to these places filled with so much joy.

I'm about to celebrate my eighth year on this platform, and it's a lovely tradition to read my colleagues' posts. A huge hug. Happiness to all. Blessings...

A huge hug to the entire #silverbloggers community for this wonderful initiative.

My friend @lisfabian, for the past few years, I've chosen to decorate my house without worrying about painting it. I think it looks beautiful with the decorations. Ha ha ha.
I think you have other priorities, like your grandchildren.
Hugs and happy holidays!

I wanted to tell you something, my friend @mafalda2018. I managed to do a little painting, but I'm only asking for life and health to keep restoring the spaces next year.

My lovely grandchildren, I'm going to see what I can come up with, sweetheart, to put up some little lights, Mommy.

A huge hug!
