Clash Of The Noggins
Having to reflect back with a smile as two days before Christmas my furry friend upended me in a passage, rugby dive straight into a doorway, fortunately wood not concrete or metal.
Shattered one has to reflect on how fortunate I was not to break my bloody neck. Was too early for a tipple or blame game in sight!
Time of year when most have closed down, no Doctors available except the hospital emergency no go after last five weeks visiting there, my sons both quick to respond to the thunk, tested sight, then being the excellent Google Doctors searched to check anything else untoward. Luck had it my knees never took a hammering, not sure how, great black eyes to follow on days to follow.
All had been prepared for Christmas, no need to worry sent younger generation off to visit their father (now in frail care home) on Christmas morning bearing photos of my glow in the dark eyes, resembling a boxer having taken a couple of rounds in a ring!
Tomorrow a visit the Doc, visit to make sure, little late I know mostly clearing up with some gorgeous cheek decor still evident, reminds one of how quickly accidents happen, lucky Humpty Dumpty this time round..., then visit the frail care home.
Lessons/Accidents learned always come at a cost, 2024 is done/dusted whatever the outcome, I won't look back with regret, keep looking forward with a twinkle in the eye to better tomorrow.
I may not be here as often, but sure to drop in, with much to still do time is stretched. Wishing all my Hive friends and associates a wonderful 2025, thanks for comforting messages, support. To You and Yours go safely, wisely, Hive is a worthy place to settle as a permanent place so be sure to invite friends to join or family.

These furry friends of ours often try to knock us down. The day before yesterday, my dog succeeded. She wrapped a leash around my legs and I fell onto the road. My cats are constantly getting in the way of my feet.

Accident like this always a 50/50 we both got a massive fright, not intentional all is forgiven. Hope you never got hurt in your fall, we anticipate but never expect it to happen.

Cross Rhodesian Ridgeback/Great Dane took my leg out years ago, placed in leg brace for a couple of weeks, all the others well behaved until this, not bad going over forty years I suppose....

Oohh my 🥺😥 @joanstewart 🤗 I hope everything alright, I thought it was lips at first glance 🤦 (the nasty me thought about something funny but it's not good), I'm so sorry.
You make me speechless with your words and energy as if it's nothing but an accident (which accident is normal 🤔). I dunno what I'm gonna do if my fur brother did that to me🤦 was almost get it killed (I stepped on his neck by incident) because it tackled my feet while I walked to get the dinner for him. Fortunately, it's just a cat and there's nothing around.
I hope everything is going to be alright, you'll get better and the crazy things was you still captured everything gorgeously with that glow in the dark eyes. I ... You are amazing!!

Growing up with two older brothers plenty training when young, coming off go-carts, skates and the likes, if you cried they laughed all the louder, no time to waste on tears.
Once you realize you still all there..., keep going, Oh Doc is happy no call back at this point, keep home remedies going with ice-pack which I had slowed down a bit....

what a relieve, google's doctor is a blessing, ohh I mean your son! so happy to see you around joan, but it's okay if you are too busy with the real life issues. But you know, we're all here to support you emotionally, as long as you don't mind my silliness.. I'll be around your posts!!

I hope the visit to the doc goes well! You really have been in the wars, take it easy. Someone once said, that when you've reached the lowest point, there's only one way, and it's up. Well, you literally reached the lowest you can go! Brave lady you are to still smile about everything and be so positive.

Must have hit the cornerstone, change direction, lifestyle, only one way..., forward. When you feel down it's safer to smile than frown. Look and feel like I've been through the wars, definitely not always in top form.

Life can throw a screwball when least expected, tired leaving the old year, not much better in the new.

Wow friend, that looks strong, thank God you took it very calmly. Pets are beautiful and things happen without them realizing what happened. Take good care of yourself and I hope that by this date the swelling and bruising have gone down.

Swelling almost gone, bruising a little longer, accidents happen pity we don't heal as fast as we did when we were young.....
