RE: A Journey into Old Art and Silver Coins

I quite a while back, while moving an underbed box, found a sketch I made back in 1973 of my self and an old boyfriend in profile. Been a mighty long time since I could do that kind of work.

I have 2 coins on my desk that I don't know much about except they both have horses on one side. The reverse on both was interesting enough when I framed them I used glass on both sides.

Love seeing Huxley so interested in things.

Don't you love finding stuff long forgotten? Oh the memories.
Not sure about the coins unless I see a photo of them. Lot's of coins use the horse but the romans loved to do it most. I think if it is a modern coin, then maybe the Nevada state quarter. Interesting nonetheless.
Huxley is very interested in things much like Pepper was.

Here they are:

I turned them over, so the more silvery one was the Pegasus on the front:

My sister collected coins 30 years ago and she gave me these. That's all I know about them.

The more shinny of the two is an Italian coin made of aluminum most likely and the other Irish coin is copper/nickel. Neat coins. Let me find them for you on Numista and that site will give you more details...

I use Numista.com a lot for researching unknown stuff. Hard to filter the search results sometimes, but if nothing else fun to research.

Very cool! Irish and Italian
Mostly I liked them for the horses. :))
