After doing some work with the light box yesterday morning, I decided to get outside in the afternoon with my Kodak Z1012 IS Easyshare camera. Looking for an easy target, I grabbed some shots of a few of the wife's lovely flowers.
Grabbed a shot of the above, I think they are called Blacked Eyed Susans. They remind me of sunflowers, which I like as well. We didn't plant any sunflowers but may next year. This one is my favorite flower picture in the post.
I do believe the flowers above are called Cathedral Bells Rose. I may be wrong though. I had to use Google to look them up because the wife is not here while I am writing to ask. If they are not, let me know in the comments.
Now, here are some more I had to look up and they seem to be Moss Rose Purslane. All of the above flowers are a part of my mother-in-laws memory garden. There are more flowers in it, but these are the best looking ones. The heat this summer has really done a number and it has been a challenge to keep our flowers alive this year.
Had a shot of my big sweetie Bailey already on the camera, so thought I would close with her. She is my dearest friend.
Now that I have some practice in with the Kodak Z1012 IS, I plan to use it for my next light box session. I will be curious to see how those turn out. I don't think I did too bad with these.
What is your favorite photo and why? Any recommendations?
Thanks for reading,
Joe
Note: Images are my own taken with Kodak Z1012 IS.
Great shots. Flowers and dogs make good targets for photography practice!
I agree.
Those first one's look a lot like sunflowers don't they? Great flower shots and one of Bailey. She looks like a nice dog.
How are you doing?
Yes those first ones sure do, I think that's why I like them. My wife takess good care of the flowers, but it has been a struggle wth the heat this year.
Bailey is a great dog. She is just a regular old dog, but loves me unconditionally and I her.
Been doing okay, been a few days since a syncope episode so gonna try to start up walking again soon. How about you?
Wow, that's a big dog! Nice job on the shots! I need to get myself a proper camera again one day!
This is not the greatest of cameras, but good enough for a knuckle dragger like me.
Looks like it does a fine job to me!
Yeah, I think it does just fine for regular stuff. You can;t really attach any lenses to it or anything for more advanced stuff though.
The flowers shot are all pretty but it's Bailey who grab my attention the most. She's so adorable and pretty, and serious too in that photo ☺️😆✨✨✨
Thank you. I will pass on compliments to the wife for the flowers and to Bailey. 😀
those flowers are lovely. keep sharing your pics
Thank you, I will. I’ll pass on the compliments to my wife. She is the one who takes care of them.
