Omg first of all I loved the design of your post, everything so well organized that it's a pleasure to open it and go through it again hahaha.
Wow I hadn't realized that that day the airport where you stopped over was so crowded because of the end of the Olympics, a little worry on that long trip you made to join us.
Hahaha “Proof of presense” xD thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures from Marjan hilltop view, I really wanted to do that hike but I didn't get the time or the desire to go up after you told us it took three hours haha. I also really like your pictures of the sculptures and the gif of the rally car is amazing.
It was very nice of you to come and greet us as soon as you came back from hiking, I really enjoyed talking to you for a while before everything started and joining us for lunch. Thank you very much for the picture together, I was just thinking that at the end I didn't have any picture with you, so here is our “proof of presense” together!
I understand what you mean about the smoking areas, it is something cultural, when I first moved to Europe I thought much the same, I was very surprised, but in the end one ends up understanding that it is just something different from what you are used to, but it is normal that you find it uncomfortable, as a non-smoker it is unfair hahahaha.
What a delight to read this recap of your experience, the truth is that you made a great effort to come here, something that adds a lot of value to all the work and dedication you put into this. Thanks for remembering me among your memories, I just wish I could have talked to you for a while more on a quieter day, but there were too many people, many of whom I could not even say hello, so I consider myself lucky that we have coincided that couple of times. It was a pleasure to meet you!
Ex Yugoslavian countries with all its history are pretty safe places. You really need to look for trouble to find one, or be really unlucky.
And yes in a lot of places smoking is still allowed. Technically they are not allowing smoking inside but they don't count those places as inside. For the Billiard club i was surprised. And even as an offender i do understand you. 🤷♂
Cool recap
oh and i do need to rewatch your presentation few more times. Feels like interesting and important, but my non tech brain that understands just bits and pieces of code, sometimes, needs a bit more to try to understand :)
I have never expected such kind of post from you so I guess Hivefest changed your perspective. I watched your presentation live and I wish you all the best for the project. Seems like you had a good time at Hivefest...I hope to meet you one day in person...
Amazing post! Well written - well said and perf recap.
Your presentation of yourself and @aioha was great. It gave me a better understanding though I'm not a tech and therefore I fall into line what @bil.prag said;
I'm happy you could make it and your talk was really interesting. You were one of the long distance travellers this time.
I am not keen on all the smoking either. I try to avoid it and it's less of an issue in the UK these days. I agree that the place felt safe and it was very clean. I walked around at night with no issues.
So you went to the Observation Tower as well, and so soon after it opened! I went on Monday after HF finished, and was so pleased I stumbled across it, so worth going despite me not liking heights.
It's a pity you couldn't make the boat trip, didn't get round to say good bye to you. Till next time!
Wow! I am new to Hive and I so I have lot's to learn. I have seen so many of these types of post regarding the recent Hive Fest in Croatia but I have not seen one as visually informative as this one. Split looks like a stunningly beautiful place.
What a fantastic insight to the Hive Fest, thank you for sharing your photos and thoughts.

Same here, surprised to find that Europe has shockingly high percentage of smokers, Croatia being one of the worst offenders just under 25%.
There you go now that the photos are out 😃

It was a pleasure meeting you and going to lunch Ćevapi with you. Hope to see you soon! You are great!
PS: Olivia doesn't have a Hive account yet hahaha.
She needs to claim her web3 identity here sooner or later 😀

This would be one of a different kind as it was a rare opportunity for me to attend. No idea if I can show up in any future HiveFests.
You will definitely... 😁
Yes, I know what you meant...

And I agree 101% to the point of smoking.
Great to meet you!
Great job on your performance, thank you very much for your nice looking signed card as well.

Maybe too soon as toilet door was still locked when I was there. Were you be able to enter the toilets when you were there on Monday?
Great review and a very interesting talk you did.
Yes, I found the billiard club a bit intense and I think the smoke was part of that.
Glad you got to go! The one time I've been was quite enjoyable.
