Day one - The real beginning. #HiveFest

And it's Day 1 of Hivefest! The last night we fell asleep not too early, and the next day was difficult for us. In general, we are not early risers, but how can we not get up on the first day. Today, the day began at 8:45, and the first lectures at 9:00. Getting up at seven in the morning, in order to wake up at least a little, we drank a cup of coffee each, got together and drove to the lectures at the Mestrovic Gallery. As usual, we didn't manage to get together quickly, and we left at about 8:20. As I mentioned earlier, we live 9 kilometers from the city center, so our journey took (according to the GPS) 20 minutes. Of course, we managed longer. After arriving, we had to park quickly, but in Split it is impossible, so we looked for a parking space and parked, we had another 30 minutes. But as it turned out, the place where we parked was forbidden, so we had to look for another place. And so, since I wanted to listen to the beginning, I ran, and my @olga.maslievich and @bugavi went to look for another place. When I got a couple of meters to the entrance, I couldn't help but recognize the Hive flag who was standing and helping the Hivians find their way to our place. When I arrived, in front of me I saw a large Gallery that looked like something from Greek mythological tales, and on the side in the middle of the lawn, I was a small "house" made of a special transparent coating and fittings. There were many chairs inside, at the end there was a stage, and in the middle there was a statue from probably the museum on the territory of which today was made.

Thank goodness the organizers were a little off schedule so I made it to the opening day of the conference hosted by @roelandp, the best presenter of all time. The first conference was hosted by @howo, @gtg, @blocktrades, @arcange and @dedleav. The first conference was about... I don't know what, unfortunately, I don't have a sufficient level of English yet, but I sat and made a very intelligent face. If you have no idea what's going on, that's the most important thing. It looked like this: 🧐🤔📝

During this time, while we sat and listened to all this, it was extremely hot. Since the roof was made of a transparent material, the entire right part of the space was heated, and everyone tried to move closer to the shade. Of course, all the places with a shadow were occupied, and we were forced to suffer. But what to do, as they say: who is late, is not in time. Everyone who came early won the jackpot, and they enjoyed the coolness throughout the speech. Then there were many more lectures, which made it even hotter, and little by little the whole building became hot. But then it was finally time for dinner!

The food program included bruschetta with various ingredients, fruits, drinks and the like. Out of all that, I only liked the orange one, and that's basically the only one I ate. But the main dish there was ice. That's why all the time we did what we did was get glasses of ice and gnaw it. After lunch, someone luckily came up with the idea of sitting under the trees, so the problem was solved. We managed to find time for a swim during our entire stay, as did others, judging by the fact that I saw Hivefest bags everywhere on the beach. It was great, the water was cool and the sun was as hot as ever. @foggymeadow joined us for the swim and we had a great time together.

Actually, I still understood something from the lectures, and I can safely say that @missbitcoin-sv's speech was amazing. I was impressed by its production of products for the health of people, which they created themselves. It was so touching for me to know that this is how they cured her dad from cancer. I also really liked the well project in Ghana that helps with water supply. All this is so fascinating and inspiring that I listened to everything without missing a single detail.

Also @hallmann's performance was great. I so enjoyed all the new ideas for Królestwo bez Kresu!

After all these speeches, I met @mynewlife. He participated in the project both with the well (shooting a video clip for the project) and helping @hallmann from Królestwo.

I also took a photo with a fun photographer and our friend @jarvie, who took a lot of great photos of us, but unfortunately I didn't have a chance to post them in this article.

And then, at 18:00, the Gala Dinner was to take place. Haha, every time I read that title I think of the Met Celebrity Gala. All people were supposed to be taken by bus, but since the bus was going to the hotel after that, we decided to go in our car. Arriving there, we walked around a bit more before sunset, and then we went into the transfer. Unfortunately, almost all the seats were taken, and it was difficult for us to find three free seats, but luckily, we did find them. We were served the same dishes for everyone, and that was infuriating enough for me. Namely because, previously I was a vegetarian for seven years, and all the dishes that were served included meat. That is, I had no choice to choose something non-meat, and I would be obliged to either eat what was given, or remain hungry. To be honest, I would like the second option more.

@fondew

Singers were to perform later in the program. At the first dinner, I met the singer @iamlosi, and today was the night for her performance. In addition to this gorgeous girl, @fondew and @violettazironi performed today. All the singers had their own great styles and skills and I enjoyed each and every one of them. After the performance, @violettazironi gave us her very cute business cards.

At the Gala, I was able to meet a person who probably spent most of the time instead of resting, filming every moment of Hivefest. His nickname is @kesilgonzalez. I also met a lovely lady called @alessandrawhite.

It was great to spend the evening with these wonderful people, and by 11:00 we were already on our way back home. See you on the 2nd day!

"I don't know what, unfortunately, I don't have a sufficient level of English yet"

I'm afraid that fluent English alone wouldn't have been enough for some parts. A good grasp of intermediate 'Hiveish' was needed too! ;-)

I'm kind of surprised, that even native English speakers sometimes don't understand everything. And
I really wish to master the hiveish language!

Some things are beyond our understanding. Wizards' stuff 🤷‍♂ 😃

It was nice to meet you @darine.darine
