Interesting news! The female-led reboot of the great ‘90s series Doogie Howser M.D. has now been picked up by Disney+, this is going by the name Doogie Kamealoha, M.D..
The series “will focus on Lahela “Doogie” Kameāloha, a mixed race 16-year-old girl who works as a doctor in Hawaii.”
I had no idea how the beautiful name Lahela gets turned into the less feminine and it's a bit less cute nickname “Doogie,”
Although I'm guessing we will find out.
Maybe she is living in our universe, and in this scenario her parents watched Doogie Howser M.D. growing up, this actually would be interesting and in fact that she went to medical school as a teenager and this is how she could off got her nickname.
That actually would make perfect sense.
I think this is a great premise, and to be fair I truly it the first time around, so I have a good feeling this will be a great show.
