Hi everyone, I am super excited that finally I am here. I remembered precisely on the 28th of December 2024 when my leader @ijelady reached out to me to inform me about the spendhbd program after travelling down to the city of Aba ,Abia State to meet with our super leader @fokusnow for the training on the usage of spendhbd and how it works.
She educated me about the project and what is expected of us . We had a plan of hosting the first workshop which was scheduled for 2nd January 2025, unfortunately I travelled on the 1st of January 2025 to visit my mother-in-law and because of that I was unable to assist in the preparation base on our previous discussion we had both planned. I felt really unhappy that I couldn't make it for the first workshop but my absence was not intentional because it was also needed that my husband and I visited my mother in-law.
When I returned, I reached out to my leader and asked when the next workshop was coming up and she responded that two sessions will be hail today being the 9th of January 2025, one by 11 am Nigerian time and the other by 4 pm Nigerian time for those who cannot make it for the morning session, so I decided to go for the morning session. It was a well detailed informative session presented by my leader @ijelady, she took us through the training on how to shop and pay with HBD, recruit newbies as well as how to list shops in our locality.
I must really commend her efforts to make sure that spendhbd project takes her root in the city of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. Finally the workshop came to an end ,we exchanged pleasantries with each other and had a photo session. Immediately after we were done, we proceeded to the practical session at Eka Mimi provision store where I learnt how to scan and pay HBD for the items I bought .
After the practical session we proceeded as a team to list some shops and we visited one of the shop which the shop owner requested that we visit again so that she could get herself ready, I am only human and so I was a bit tired after all the exercises and so I said goodbye to my team members and left home.
