Recently, my sister @empressjay and I visited Kilimanjaro, a popular fast-food restaurant, to register their business with Hive to support the local community. This initiative will enable customers to enjoy quality meals at a discount. The project provides easy, fast, and seamless transactions and helps modernize payment options. As the world becomes a global village, it makes sense for people and businesses to keep up with the trends, and the current trend is shopping with cryptocurrency.
The process started with us meeting the fast food manager to explain our mission and seek approval. We introduced him to the Hive blockchain and detailed the Spend HBD project, highlighting how it could help local businesses grow. Initially, he was skeptical and viewed it as just another online scam or a modern version of MMM. However, he became more engaged when we discussed how it could benefit their business and presented him with proof of successful registrations and testimonials from larger businesses.
He had many questions about how our project could help grow their business and maximize profits. We explained that one way it supports growth is by offering discounts to customers. Given the rising prices of commodities, customers are more likely to patronize businesses that provide discounts, regardless of the amount. This is the essence of the Spend HBD project.
We also demonstrated how easy and seamless it is to generate customer receipts, potentially making the transaction process more efficient than traditional money handling. Our discussion was extensive, covering how safe the system is and how it can alleviate the stress of dealing with local banks in case of failed transactions, among other benefits.
He expressed genuine interest and inquired about the costs involved in registering the fast food outlet and training the staff on generating receipts and creating their accounts. You can imagine the big smile on his face when we informed him that it would cost absolutely nothing. He gave us the go-ahead to proceed and even introduced us to the staff, who provided the necessary information, including the full business name and the services offered. An account was subsequently created for them under the username @kilimanjaro2.
After creating the account, we discussed the keys, their importance, and how to keep them safe. We then proceeded to show the staff the signup process, as we wouldn't always be available to sign up or create accounts for their customers. Additionally, we demonstrated how to generate and scan receipts, as well as how to exchange HBD for money. It was a long day for us, but it was worth it.
The registration process was successful, and Kilimanjaro Fast-Food and Restaurant now officially accept HBD as payment for goods and services—or, as we like to say, food, you know? This step is expected to attract customers, reduce transaction fees, and improve the speed of payments. Customers can now enjoy greater flexibility and convenience while dining at their favorite fast-food spot.
Although we couldn't complete a transaction today due to certain reasons, we promised to return tomorrow, which is Friday, to make a purchase with HBD on Shokin Day 12.
