Marketing Campaign For Spendhbd Awareness and Adoption in Lagos

Hello friends, I'm always excited to participate in any activity that would promote #spendhbd awareness and #hive adoption. One of such activity is the one held today precisely in surulere. Although the initial plan was to go to a school environment and introduce students to this beautiful community so that they can benefit and also impact in the community.

Plans changed because our fliers wasn't ready as at when we needed to be on the move, so our trusted local guide @beauty197 decided we do the marketing in surulere instead since the day has already been mapped out for Spendhbd marketing awareness.

With plans changed, we agreed to go check out a new restaurant and see if we could talk to the manager or the owner and propose Spendhbd project to them and explain it's benefit to their business and customers.

THELWISH BISTRO RESTAURANT

Thelwish bistro restaurant is a newly opened restaurant in surulere on house number 14 Adetola road, it's a very cool and cozy restaurant with drink sections and varieties of food. They also sell local Nigerian dish like Amala and ewedu and other local meals.

Being a newly opened restaurant, the business still struggles with customers and we thought about helping out through the Spendhbd project. So we went to Thelma bistro restaurant and requested to see the manager.

We met the manager who introduced himself as Mr Oye and introduced ourselves, as well as our purpose for the visit. We introduced the concept to him and explained to him how the transaction works and how it would help them increase their customer base, improve repeated purchases as customers will be getting discounts and how it will benefit them as the business owner.

After much discussion with so many questions raised by the manager Mr. Oye, he got all the answers to his question and he understood our explanations.

He explained to us that although he's the manager, he reports to someone else who I believe is the owner of the business. Mr. Oye said he loved our business proposal because it will help build their customers and attract more new customers. The only challenge is that he can't make the decision because it's not his personal business, he works for someone and he promised to discuss with his boss about our business proposal and get back to us.

My local guide collected his contact to keep in touch so that we can remind him to deliver our proposal to his boss.

I suggested we try their food and at that time I was famished, I didn't have breakfast before leaving the house. I ordered for my food and they also decided to order and try out their food at Thelma bistro restaurant, the food was very delicious and well spiced. It was a sumptuous meal and I will definitely do a return visit for another meal and hopefully it will be listed then.

We ate and took lovely pictures of the restaurant, our food and ourselves with permission taken from the manager. After the meal, we made payment and left.

When we left, I told @beauty197 that I wanted to visit a store to get frozen food within the area that was listed, she said she would love to get gizzard and @talktofaith said she would also love to get something from the store. That was how we ended up in @smertschoice2 frozen food store.

I got my chicken and as a registered store, I made payment using HBD and got my discount of 40 percent from @distriator for a purchase of 3.5hbd.
Seeing that the manager of the store was in a very good mood, we told him about our Spendhbd awareness campaign and how we could talk to his customers about signing up, making payments with hbd and getting discounts for their purchases.

He raised some concerns about network issues and delay in payments and we demonstrated to him how fast the transaction can be and how in few seconds his customers can claim their discounts.

He welcomed the idea and asked us to return because we told him we needed our banner for the campaign and thank goodness it will be available for the campaign from next week. We also got fliers that will be distributed to businesses and people that we discuss with, so that they can get more information about our Spendhbd campaign.

CONCLUSION

I feel good about this project and I'm certain it would have great success, and to achieve a successful marketing campaign, we would be having weekly marketing campaign for more awareness and adoption.

I'm thankful to #spendhbd, #distriator and #hivekeychain for your collaborative efforts to make purchases swift, fun and impressive discounts that makes everyone happy at the end of every shopping.

It's been a busy day for me and it's time for me to have some rest
