Supporting the SPENDHBD outdoor campaign

It was a sunny day yesterday, but yet the weather was so cold. The harmattan was doing a great job. Despite the cold weather, I walked my way to God's own international supermarket Aba. It was the day 2 of our spendhbd outdoor campaign, the objective of this campaign was to create awareness to the customers of the listed businesses to join the spendhbd program and enjoy their discount. The first day of the campaign was a success as 5 friends @bakinba, @bumblebee, @ijebest, @empressjay and @ngobaby supported our local guide @fokusnow and signed up 6 new users.

Volunteering for the second day

On the first kickoff of the campaign, I was not opportune to be present. So yesterday being the second day, I availed myself to be there. My arrival at God's Own int'l Supermarket was welcomed by the campaign banner stationed in front of the supermarket. This banner was designed with the intention of making it easier for customers of listed businesses and passersby to glance and get to know about the program. Getting into the shop I met @fokusnow, he was already at the supermarket waiting for other members of the team to arrive. I love his zeal about this project like he always say and I quote him, "I always feel bullish about SPENDHBD". After a while, we were joined by @ngobaby who also is an active member of this project. At a point, I was left with @ngobaby as @fokusnow left to attend an important errand concerning the campaign.

Campaign day 2 experience

Unlike the first day, throughout my stay at the supermarket we didn't get a customer to join the project and sign up because customers were not much yesterday and the ones that came were either in a rush or came to pick just an item and leave. So there wasn't enough time to introduce them to the program. But that not withstanding, I am still optimistic that this campaign will go a long way as I have gotten an update about taking this campaign to the state's polytechnic currently known as Dr Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic. This institution consists of thousands of students from different states. This upcoming initiative is actually taking spendhbd to the four corners of my city and to other states across the country. Happily this will be done with campaign fliers and ShoKin team badge. I will bring you more updates about the outreach. While we were still waiting for customers at God's Own int'l Supermarket, I picked some items that I needed, paid with Hive dollars and got my instant cash back from @distriator. Claiming the discount is really an interesting part of the program. I do enjoy every bit of it.

Conclusion
I encourage all our team to come out massively and support this outdoor campaign. This campaign is definitely going to help us take the spendhbd program and Hive to a greater level with many new users.
