It was another successful day in the life of a trusted local guide based in a busy city known as Lagos state.
Tho there was a great loss, but in all, I was very pleased with the result I got.
Firstly after some spiritual activities, I left for hive marketing.
I went to a busy plaza to see if I could get businesses to list as well as new users to sign up because it's very important not to list businesses without onboarding users who will spend in the business.
Funny Experience.
I met a lady whom I felt was tech enlightened and I approached her in a shop, after discussing with the business owner who wasn't comfortable but was looking for a positive response from her customers, the shop sells cosmetics.
After explaining to the lady what spend hbd is all about, I even went as far as showing her from my phone how to search and read more about both the spendhbd project and hive Blockchain itself.
Her response was just a funny one, said "All this are framed, you guys have stolen the government money and you are looking for where to dump it, you will be sharing it with people in the name of discount" She even added "Please madam (the shop owner) please be careful that's all I can say)
At that point, I couldn't hold myself, I started laughing because I couldn't just connect where she got that mindset from and how she came to such a conclusion.
The business owner was already skeptical, so she decided that she was not interested, and I left, I also met with other businesses, but the owners were not on site, so I am hoping to return another day.
Hosting a group shopping and onboarding a newbie.
I was still searching for businesses and new users when @kachy2022 called me that they were at @bokku-mart and there was a newbie to onboard who was referred by @iquo, so I quickly closed marketing for the day and took a ride to @bokku-mart
So when I got there, I took some minutes to explain to the newbie what hive is all about and how she can benefit from both the spendhbd project and hive Blockchain, I also told her the importance of staying away from plagiarism and AI-generated content if she wants to remain on hive Blockchain.
Finally, I onboarded her through the sign-up with spendhbd on the distriator app with the username @xhibit. She downloaded the hive keychain, chose her pins, and I found her wallet with 4hbd, she shopped and claimed her discount.
In total, we had five happy shoppers

The sad story
After the shopping everyone where happy and left, so there was the need to swap and get Naira which is the Nigerian currency because the sales representatives give accounts daily, In the process of swapping and transferring to Binance the lady omitted the memo and the whole money went into thin air (43 hive) I was so heartbroken that I didn't know what to do.
I left my house, had my bath, and went to bed, I couldn't do anything for myself at that point.
Sorry for losing as much as 43 Hive, you'll recover as much with time. it's a good thing to know you're pushing this spendhbd initiative over there in your city, Keep going, don't stop till you get enough.

I'm sorry about the 43 HIVE.... it's frustrating when that kind of thing happens, but don't blame yourself, we're all humans and part of being human means making mistakes occasionally.
Another way to look at it is that there's a part of #spendHBD that isn't talked about much, and that is the value of the upvotes to the posts. This post alone has rewards that will hopefully cover most of the lost HIVE for you 😀
All businesses have some days when things will not just work well, but that doesn't mean the end of our lives; talking about such incidents helps and reminds me to be very careful next time.
Even if I get upvotes, which I appreciate, that doesn't mean I should just lose them to thin air because marketing involves a lot of both physical and mental stress.
