Nerium oleander is most commonly known as oleander or nerium which is a shrub or small tree cultivated evenly worldwide in temperate & subtropical areas as an ornamental & landscaping plant.
It’s know to be the only species currently classified in the genus Nerium, belonging to subfamily Apocynoideae of the dogbane family of Apocynaceae.
Its leathery lance-shaped foliage is deep green & may be well arranged opposite along the cool stems or in whorls. Oleander's funnel-shaped flowers also bloom in clusters at the twig tips evenly from summer to fall & come in shades of white, red, pink or yellow.
