Larry Is Alive 26 June 2024: I Am Alive Challenge

Again, Cenk Tosun scored a stoppage-time winner to help Turkey defeat the Czech Republic in a tense final group F encounter and advance to the last-16 against Austria.

In the second match of group F, Georgia made history and reached their first major tournament knockout stage with victory over Portugal at Euro 2024. Portugal had already won the group, but were stunned in their final group stage encounter when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia drilled a low shot past Diogo Costa with two minutes remaining.

From the world of music and entertainment, Larry goes to the world of international organisations. He finds out that on this day in 1945, the Charter of the United Nations was signed in San Francisco.

From the world of international organisations, Larry goes to England. He finds out that on this day in 1483, Richard Plantagenet, Duke of Gloucester, started his reign as Richard III after usurping power from his nephew, Edward V.

From England, Larry goes to India. He finds out that on this day in 1908, Salvador Allende, in full, [Salvador Allende Gossens], Chile’s first socialist President was born in Valparaíso, Chile.

Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in #history from the world of music and entertainment. He finds out that on this day in 1993, Ariana Grande, an American pop singer and actress who had her breakthrough in the early 2010s and went on to become one of the most successful artists in the genre was born in Boca Raton, Florida, U.S.A.
