A warm greeting to this beautiful community. At Hive Open Mic #296, we explore the theme: "I Will Return." I have the pleasure of sharing my trumpet rendition of «Merry Christmas Darling», a pop Christmas song composed by Frank Pooler and Richard Carpenter. The lyrics were written in 1946 and the music in 1970. The lyrics are very nostalgic and speak to the feeling of having someone you love far away during Christmas. And during this season, there will be tears, smiles, and memories. Distance may separate us, but in spirit and heart, nothing can. The original version is in Eb major; in my case, I perform it in D major. The melody is expressive, nostalgic, and intimate. The tempo is slow with a 4/4 time signature, although there are slight shifts to 3/4. The dynamics are soft, evoking tenderness and nostalgia.

Un cordial saludo para esta bella comunidad. En el Hive Open Mic #296, exploramos el tema: "I Will Return". Tengo el placer de compartir mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Merry Christmas Darling», una canción de genero pop navideño compuesta por Frank Pooler y Richard Carpenter. La letra fue creada en 1946 y la música en 1970. La letra es muy nostálgica y habla del sentimiento de tener a alguien que amas lejos durante la Navidad. Y es que en esta temporada no faltaran lágrimas, sonrisas, y recuerdos. Puede que la distancia nos separe, pero en espíritu y corazón nada puede separarnos. La versión original se encuentra en Eb mayor, en mi caso la interpreto en D mayor. La melodía es expresiva, nostálgica e íntima. El tempo es lento con una cifra indicadora de compas de 4/4, aunque tiene leves cambios a ¾. La dinámica es suave, esta te genera ternura y nostalgia.
Every week I enjoy the theme of the community, and this one is no exception. I have had the opportunity to be in some places where I’ve had beautiful life experiences. I love hiking, and in the past, I have walked about 60 kilometers to reach a beautiful town in Venezuela located on the coasts of Aragua. Once we arrived there, we loved walking through its streets, trying the food like delicious empanadas, and hot chocolate. At night, we enjoyed the folkloric performances and the parties with drums. Very early in the morning, we would travel by truck to the beach. We loved watching the sunrises and sunsets, as well as enjoying the relaxing sound of the waves. Sometimes I tell some friends that I would like to take them there for several reasons. One is the need to experience it again, and another is to share the experience. May God bless you with the need to return to those magical places.

Cada semana disfruto de la temática de la comunidad y esta no es la excepción. He tenido la oportunidad de estar en algunos lugares donde he tenido hermosas experiencias de vida. Me encanta la practica de senderismo, y en el pasado he caminado unos 60 kilómetros para llegar a un hermoso pueblo de Venezuela que se encuentra en las costas de Aragua. Una vez que llegábamos al lugar nos encantaba caminar por sus calles, probar la comida como unas ricas empanadas, y chocolate caliente. En las noches disfrutábamos de las manifestaciones folclóricas y de las fiestas con tambores. Muy temprano por la mañana viajábamos en un camión hasta la playa. Nos encantaba ver los amaneceres, y los atardeceres, así como disfrutar del sonido relajante de las olas. En ocasiones les digo a algunos amigos, que me gustaría llevarlos por varias razones. Una por la necesidad de volver a vivirlo, y otra para compartir la experiencia. Dios los bendiga con la necesidad de volver a esos mágicos lugares.
