Putting up Christmas Tree for Open Mic Week 86 🎄
Morning/afternoon/evening my Hive friends, musicians and music lovers!
Today I’m back to Open Mic with the topic “Joy to the world” 😇
Today I woke up late after a serious cold last night. Every year in Da Nang when it got into cold season, I always got sick a few times by underrating the cold haha
Been busy lately with many things going on, this week’s topic just excites myself and everyone so much. I have been watching so many videos of you guys and feel the holiday vibe is coming so close!
“Joy to the world”
To me, it is anything that exists in this world or anything that comes to this world that makes us happy – that is joy!
It is God, it is someone spiritual, it is love, it is good health, it is a good song, it is a good melody that we are dancing to tonight, it is our friends, our families....
This is the second year that I put up the Christmas tree alone and I live alone. Since I moved out last year and live 500 miles from home (my family is Buddist and does not celebrate Chrismas), I had promised to myself that I would put up Christmas tree every year and me and my dog are a family together. This gonna be our tradition. Someday Cookie (my dog) would meet her dad and we would add him into our family, we are here and we are already a family, nobody could separate us!
This is my special journey of self development.
And I made this video hopefully it brings you some warmth like it did to myself
“Bring The Snow” – I fell inlove with this song from the first time I heard it in the Christmas movie “The Princess Switch” a few years ago (now they have 3 parts already).
This song was performed by the Prince in the movie and I was like “aww” haha
From this song, I’d like to say “Joy to me as I live in this world is the warmth of us human sharing with one another, anyday in life and specially in these special occasions. Snuggle with someone you love, share some special food, listen to a song, watch a movie together, fall asleep next to each other... to me that’s the sweetest thing and joyful thing ever!"

I have a dog too haha his name is Rocky, mine is still a puppy, hey I love this song so much :3 I can't get enough of listening to you x. x I had a Buddhist girlfriend about 3 years ago and I understand what you mean when you say that they do not celebrate Christmas, but what a joy to see that you have a beautiful companion by your side, nothing better than a doggy to be in family, how nice your Christmas tree, it is very nice to read what you do for your joy and your well-being, I hope your life partner appears soon, it is good that you give you the time to be alone until the right daddy for Cookie arrives and that he is your husband, I wish you much happiness, good health, success and life! !!

:) HAPPY DAY to U! no snow here. well, sometimes there is black snow.. it's called hawaiian snow.. its the falling ash flakes from the burning of the sugar cane. there is less and less of it nowadays.
i thought u were gonna put coockie on top the tree as a decoration and the end of the vid.. :P

ps. we have a tree like urs, but i doubt i will put it up. its just me and my 16 y/o daughter, so the xmas thing is not such a thing..

And if I may ask.. Why is the sugarcane being burned?
aloha! only the inside of the sugar cane is used, i think.. so it's easier to just burn the whole field down and then harvest the wanted remains of the sugar cane. i think thats it, and maybe they want to 'cook' it?? (not too sure)
