Hive Open Mic Week 296 || Oh Holy Night (A Cover)

In less than a month, we shall be celebrating the coming of our Lord, a time that reminds Christians of their salvation story. Beyond being a celebration of the birth of Christ, it is a reminder that Christ will return to judge the living and the dead. I do not know what inspired the theme of the week, but this was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the theme. We are currently in the Advent season, and as Christians, we are urged not just to prepare for the celebration of the child Jesus, but also for His coming on the last day.

En menos de un mes, celebraremos la llegada de nuestro Señor, una época que recuerda a los cristianos la historia de su salvación. Más allá de ser una celebración del nacimiento de Cristo, es un recordatorio de que Cristo volverá para juzgar a los vivos y a los muertos. No sé qué inspiró el tema de la semana, pero esto fue lo primero que me vino a la mente cuando lo vi. Actualmente estamos en la temporada de Adviento y, como cristianos, se nos exhorta no solo a prepararnos para la celebración del niño Jesús, sino también para su venida en el último día.

I am @ernesto6402, and in the spirit of the infant Jesus who is to be born amongst us in no time, I have chosen this powerful Christmas song. I will, for this week, be performing the song "O Holy Night". For some reason, which I am yet to figure out, that song has become my favourite Christmas song from the first day I heard it. It is an amazing Christmas song with a powerful message, and I am particularly in love with its verses. For that purpose, I have chosen to perform the first and third verses of the song for this week's Hive Open Mic.

Por alguna razón que aún no logro comprender, esa canción se ha convertido en mi favorita desde el primer día que la escuché. Es una canción navideña increíble con un mensaje poderoso, y me encantan especialmente sus versos. Por eso, he decidido interpretar el primer y tercer verso de la canción en el Hive Open Mic de esta semana.
