Hi everyone, I'm Dogan. Today I'm playing a song that I love very much with my guitar. This song writen by Haramiler group in 1998. Since it was sung with the guitar in the original version, I could easily adapt to the song. I like to use both fingerstyle and rhythm in these kinds of songs. You can feel the rhythm more, starting slow at the beginning and accelerating in the later parts. I hope you like it too. If you enjoy listening to more Turkish songs, you can follow me on Hive and send your likes and comments to my videos. Thank you Hive Open Mic family.

Lyrics (Original)

Duvarları maviye boyadım, maviyi çok seversin
Penceremde menekşeler dizili, sularken şarkı söylersin
Gramofon da eski alaturka, hoşuna gider bilirim
Duvarları maviye boyadım, maviyi çok seversin
Penceremde menekşeler dizili, sularken şarkı söylersin
Gramofon da eski alaturka, hoşuna gider bilirim
O yaz evinin içinde, denize nazır
Sabaha kadar bekledim seni
Birden dalgalar dedi ki, gelmeyeceksin
Dalgalar dedi ki gelmeyeceksin
Birden çıktım viraneden koşa koşa indim kumsala
Acı acı sövdüm sonra, yüzümü kırbaçlayan rüzgara

Lyrics (English)

I painted the walls blue, you like blue so much
There are violets in my window, you sing while I water
Gramophone is also old Turkish, I know you like it
I painted the walls blue, you like blue so much
There are violets in my window, you sing while I water
Gramophone is also old Turkish, I know you like it
Inside that summer house, overlooking the sea
I waited for you until morning
Suddenly the waves said you won't come
The waves said you won't come
All of a sudden, I came out of the devastation and ran down to the beach.
Then I cursed bitterly at the wind that whipped my face

It's a beautiful melody and a song I love. I used to listen to this song a lot in my high school years and I especially asked my friends who play guitar to play it.🎶🙌🎸👏👏👏

As children of the 90's, these songs coincided with our high school years as well. "Mavi Duvar" is one of the first songs when I learned the guitar. Thank you my dear friend. 😊🖤🎸🎵
