Hive Open Mic ( #openmic ) is a global community celebrating live music on Hive. Each week is a new event, encouraging musicians to share songs with an international audience.
I am grateful for this week's theme in the Hive Open Mic community: "Loyalty and Fidelity". It is chosen by two precious souls who I've grown to know as friends and kindred spirits: Omar and Dina, who go by the Hive username @musicandreview. They perform as a duet, making music with the utmost respect for each other.
I'm following their lead as I draw new love into my life. I see a new conscious awareness and reverence flowing through me. The other night, at a social gathering, I lit a fire and sang a song to myself. Midway through the song, I noticed my surroundings were entirely silent. It felt like the entire world was listening to me. It felt like the fire was speaking through me. I lifted my voice.
I am so thankful to know supportive friends like the you, who devote your attention to Hive. Your friendly actions here, there, everywhere, have given me the message that I'm safe to express and connect. The encouragement you've shown me in these two areas are possibly the greatest gifts you can give to any artist.
At times, I've been so resistant to celebrate my creative gifts. For example, I had the pleasure of recording 8 songs with 8 amazing bandmates, completed over a year ago, and it is no coincidence that on our 88th week I finally launched the album. Receiving encouragement here on Hive has made a major difference in my life.
Today I find myself brimming with musical gifts to share. I am ready for more songs by the fire, and wherever else I feel at Home. I am excited and lit up. Music is my medicine—it's how I take care of myself. These songs I carry are the remedies for all that ails me, and if anyone else is interested then that only adds to the delight I feel. I'm so happy to share my heart with you.

These lyrics are full of good wishes bro, this kind of phrases remind me a lot of Jamaican artists like Damian Marley, who write songs with a vibe of peace and love under a background of wanting to change the world, I really liked your arpeggio technique on the guitar, I had not noticed that you played like that, with the thumb and two fingers alternating the other strings, greetings bro!
Nice of you to notice those details. Aw, I love the Marleys and their high-vibe music. Man it would be fun to perform music in a Reggae or Funk band like that! I'm taking baby steps in that direction by jamming with a drummer here and there, and also learning some tech tools that introduce more of the percussion element. Lots to learn, and infinite ways to grow!

You just simply took this theme and made it sound more uplifting with your guitar. I must say that the sound on your guitar made me feel so mesmerized, and the vibes flows right to my marrow. I kept repeating this lovely piece of yours over and over again, and each round of repetition gave me a different feel.
