Hello Hive Open Mic community! I hope you're all feeling great. Week 105 is themed Colorful, courtesy of friend @mipiano. This time I'll be singing a song that came to me through my family. I heard it from them and it is the only version I know and carry in my heart.

Original by Wilfredo Aponte, Multipiel is a song that reminds us that color when talking about skin and human beings is not important. It is a song that hits directly at racist and discriminatory sentiment. The lyrics say that it doesn't matter if you are black, Indian or white, the most important thing is to be born.

I'll leave the lyrics and our video without further words because I feel the song is self-explanatory. Happily I am again accompanied by my dad @armandolnrs, this time on guitar. En esta ocasión cantaré una canción que llegó a mí por medio de mi familia. Se las escuché a ellos y es la única versión que conozco y llevo en mi corazón.

Es un tema que golpea directamente al sentimiento racista y discriminatorio. La letra dice que no importa si eres negro, indio o blanco, lo más importante es haber nacido.
