RE: Hive-Naija Weekend Engagement #40 - "Communication/Interaction"

in Speak Peace2 years ago

Hmmm...am an Igbo girl who has lived in Yoruba land for long and can't speak Yoruba. I fit speak pigin and I dey even write am sef but the thing be say I no fit write Igbo.
The language I'd like to learn would be Yoruba as I always feel odd when my friends speak Yoruba and I can't. Even at school when we recite the Yoruba national anthem, I just stand awkwardly and don't even try to sing before I say rubbish and swear for myself.

Hahaha. So funny. Truth is, some of us do have a thing for language. If interest is not built, you may not speak the language.

Hahaha, my dear you are not alone at all, I have been in my land since I was born but I can't speak my language, so you see, you are even better than me, lolz.

I want to specially welcome you to the Hive naija weekend engagement, we hope to see you often, we normally have our hang out every Friday to Sunday ❤️.
