I stood before an elderly man who had a long white hair and a golden crown on his head, a glow of splendor emanated from him. I asked with shock
"Am I dead?" I asked
"No, you are not dead but you are in between the heaven and the earth" He replied.
"Cool" I said and smiled looking around for exciting things. He opened his palms and stretched them to me, his left palm had a blue pill and his right palm had a red pill in it
"I am giving you an opportunity to pick between the red and blue pill" he said with his majestic voice "the blue pill gives you an opportunity to bring back a loved one from the dead while the red pill gives you everlasting life, which would you pick"
As he said that I took a deep breath and asked with excitement
"You mean i can bring anyone back from the dead?" I asked just to be sure
"Yes" he replied "but I will love to know why you are making whatever decision you choose" he said with a smile
I took a deep breath and said "I will take the blue pill, I will love to bring back my father to life"
"Oh! And why your father?" he asked
"I inhaled deeply and declared, "I'll take the blue pill, and I'd really want to make my father come back to life."
"Oh! Why was your father so? He asked.
"I grew up not knowing my father because my father moved on with another woman when I was just six months old. As a child, I went through a father-void and frequently felt envious of my friends who had close relationships with their fathers. Due to my father's treatment of my mother—he abandoned her with four children—I eventually came to detest my father and think that all men are the same. He went ahead to enjoy his wealth with another woman. I hated him, but deep down, I loved him so much. During this difficult time, I looked forward to the day he would return, make amends, and return to our large and happy family. When the day eventually arrived, 18 years later, my mother informed me that my father had called to apologize and that he wanted to bring us back but was ill. He must remember that he has a family since he is unwell right? I retorted sharply, trying not to appear overly sympathetic, but deep down I was.
He called the following day, and we had our first phone conversation. He apologized for not being there for us, and I didn't say anything, and gave my mum the phone then stepped out to cry. After mum visited him, she later told us that dad would return the following week, but he never returned and died two days later. I was at work when I got the call, and I was unable to control my tears as I sobbed uncontrollably. I desperately wanted to see him, give him a hug, and tell him I had forgiven him, but I never had the chance. So I now want to give him the chance to correct his mistake " I Concluded with tears and opened my eyes, only to realize it was all a dream but I really miss my dad 😢😢
