Some few days ago in a discussion organized by the Hivenaija community to think the way forward and how to grow the community, everyone shared their thoughts and views. However, a user and one of the community's leader @belemo said something quite striking.
To me hive is a social media and would be enticing enough for more users to be inducted can be retained. And to this, hive needs to be less formal and more organic.
I think he has a point. I mean, a quick survey at through the present user's profile or just mere looking at the feeds you'll realize the effort and so much time maybe even much research that we go through to make a piece.
Hive to me is a blog and also a SOCIAL media and this is the feel that the dapplr mobile application offers. My lady can promptly take a selfie and share without cracking too much skulls to pen down thousands of words.
I also hope the Livestream button can be added soon enough, with the soft restrictions of movement and conditions for gatherings certain communities could hold their meet ups online whereby a selected few possibly key leaders of the community meet and the rest of the community and hive at large can watch right in the comfort of their homes.
Today is no time for too much talk, I'm off to my dream stadium that I'm still building. I've got some games to play. If you're down for some actions do well to notify me so we meet at the multiplayer section.

Yea.... I felt what you said on that day but shouldn't we be worried about logs of unusable posts flooding this streets... Take Facebook for instance, many users fled it for twitter like myself.
You know how our awon slay mamas and their social media fake life kind of way. We want to know ourselves but what's the guarantee that what we put out about our personality is really who we are?
There's no guarantee but at the same time, I've learnt that nobody is One thing. Take me for example, I'm typing this text now and sounding all serious but in reality, I just want to drink beer and talk shit more often than not.
I also have no problem with slay mamas and the likes here. The truth is that the emphasis should be on originality, rather than similarity or "importance". Social media should be Social, not serious.
I think this should be a debate/contest for the hivenaija community.🤔🤔🤔 you know, get to hear their thoughts and views.

My apologies My apologies for the inability of the video to show. dapplr is still in the alpha stage and this was me testing it and giving feedback to the designers.

I agree with you that many people take hive too seriously. It is a social blogging, many people forget the social part. I also like the dappl app and I hope it will live up to the initial hype by appropriate development.
The dapplr should live up to expectations... The present features it brings and those promised might make it compete over other dapps in terms of usage.
