My Hive Niche

I remember when I was introduced to hive late last year and @readthisplease told me I could write about anything I was comfortable with. That was the major reason I joined because I feared it was going to be more crypto writeups and talk seeing that I was to earn in cryptocurrency.

I joined anyways and started writing, I started by looking at my pictures and because they hold so many memories and stories, I knew I had a lot to share daily till I exhaust all the old pictures..that was the plan.

The first few days I wrote so well, gave it my all about my life’s journey because that was all I knew to write about but I got no response. I went to a lot of people's profiles and I noticed how cryptocurrency-related posts got lots of traction. So I decided to give it a try and talk finance, business, and crypto but believe me when I say I got the lowest votes on my crypto-related post, I decided to try storytelling, I noticed some communities like inkwell and others were giving Good upvotes.

Guess what I found out trying to write stories?

I am terrible at storytelling, I can't write friction to even save myself😂.

At this point I gave up really, I was already enjoying the platform even when I wasn't getting great upvotes and besides I needed something to take my mind off baby duties at the time, and believe me I had lots to say about my everyday experiences as a new wife and mother so I went back to LIFESTYLE.

One day I woke up to a call from my friend telling me to look at my post, a post I had written with no upvote in view went from $.0 to $000.3 whole digits then I knew I just had to stick with what I am comfortable with and you never know when will be another lucky day and since then I have had lots of lucky days...

well until recently...But there is one problem

My lifestyle is broad, I have my marriage, food, baby, family, faith, and lots more to share and all these would not fit into one community and I do not like to spread my wing thin but I just had to do the best I could. I sincerely know this little issue is one reason I am not growing as fast as I would want to or getting lots of votes and engagement on my post but I have decided to keep at it...and not overthink it.

So I just visit all the communities my lifestyle niche can fit into and engage and interact there from time to time even though I am sure I give some more attention than the others but at least what matters is my effort

we want you to tell us about your preferred niche on the Hive blockchain and why you chose that niche. Do you still struggle in your niche or do you find peace in it?

so from all I have experienced and said so far, I know for sure that I have found my niche which is lifestyle blogging,
do I struggle with it? NEVER... Writing about my life and day to day activities is nothing but a delight but have I found peace in it not really because of how unencouraging the upvotes and engagement on the various post can get, I sometimes wish I was a crypto geek so I can steadily give everyone some finance hit.

well, I may have to take a step back and do better in my part with engagement and consistency. The thing is my baby is no more a baby and I barely have ample time like I use to have when I could leave him in one position and do some writing for hive and meet him where I placed him (I miss those days)..well I can't complain I just have to create the time and do better

To everyone killing it in their various niche, how do you do it, how do you get seen? I would appreciate your advice and possible juicy information that would help me find total peace in my niche.
