大味王火鍋,這家店,我很久以前就在 YouTube 頻道上,看到網紅們的介紹,主旋律幾乎都是便宜,但沒提到美味,所以,我沒有很心動,但是還是想找機會,去看看環境,某天,遊說朋友們成功,願意陪我去探店,話不多說,我們就直接過去吃看看。

對於大味王火鍋,最早的印象是不到百元就有提供火烤兩吃,不過,現在已經漲到250元,但是不用加服務費,就是250元九十分鐘吃到飽,聽起來還可以接受,店內裝潢屬於古早味,就是那個小火鍋店的裝潢風格,而經典的食材冰櫃,內有各式火鍋及烤肉料,肉類有牛、豬、雞及羊肉等,算是該有的都有,還有鋁箔包飲料,讓客人隨便喝。

我和朋友主要想吃烤肉,烤盤加肉後,我們就把各式肉片丟上去烤,可能是火侯控制不好,一下子鋁箔紙就烤到焦黑,需要更換,不過,我們還是樂此不匹,而我們點的鴛鴦鍋,幾乎都沒甚麼在吃,只有偶爾丟幾片肉片,滾個幾下,店內生意其實不錯,人一多,加上大家都在烤肉,到處充斥著熱氣,讓本來就不強的冷氣,感到更不冷了,所以,雖然我們在室內,都是一邊烤,一邊流汗,又拼命地烤,拼命地吃。

這類提供火烤兩吃的小火鍋店家,之前很多,但是已經漸漸被淘汰掉了,大味王火鍋應該是台北碩果僅存的少數幾家,雖然,用餐環境比較陽春,但是火鍋及烤肉料並不算少,所以,它還是有很多死忠客戶,看在它的價錢上,我可能還會再次光顧,但是朋友們對此倒頗有微詞,認為環境過差,反正,至少我吃過了。




I first heard about Da Wei Wang Hot Pot a long time ago through YouTube, where influencers were reviewing it. Most of the reviews emphasized how cheap it was, but no one really mentioned if the food was actually good, so I wasn’t super tempted. Still, I wanted to check it out myself and see what the place was like. One day, I managed to convince my friends to join me, and without much further ado, we headed there to give it a try.

My initial impression of Da Wei Wang Hot Pot was that it used to offer hot pot and BBQ for under 100 NT. Now, the price has gone up to 250 NT, but since there’s no service charge and it’s 250 NT for all-you-can-eat in 90 minutes, it still seemed pretty reasonable. The decor is old-school, just like any traditional hot pot place. They have the classic open fridge filled with hot pot and BBQ ingredients, with the usual meats like beef, pork, chicken, and lamb. They even have aluminum foil-wrapped drinks for you to grab as you like.

My friends and I were mainly there for the BBQ, so we tossed all kinds of meat onto the grill. We probably didn’t control the heat very well because the foil started to burn and blacken pretty quickly, so we had to replace it a few times. Still, we were having fun grilling, and barely touched the broth in our yin-yang hot pot. We only threw in a few slices of meat now and then to give it a quick boil. The place was pretty busy, and with so many people grilling, the heat started to build up. The air conditioning, which wasn’t great to begin with, couldn’t keep up, so even though we were indoors, we were sweating while grilling and eating non-stop.

There used to be a lot of these hot pot and BBQ combo places, but most of them have been phased out. Da Wei Wang Hot Pot is probably one of the few left in Taipei. While the dining environment is pretty basic, the hot pot and BBQ options aren’t lacking, so it still has a loyal customer base. Given the price, I’d consider coming back again, but my friends weren’t as impressed and had some complaints about the overall environment. At least I can say I’ve tried it!
