Should I keep asking these questions and doing polls for Hive?

in Hive Polls18 days ago (edited)

In the last week I have asked some questions, some quite serious and others just informative. Seeing the discussion take place. Along with the posts that came after mentioning my questions, was really enlightening. I see some people said I may have started a trend, simply by asking a question.

I think I must be careful of how I phrase my questions, but at the end of of the day I should be able to ask anything I want. And being on the blockchain for many years I have had thoughts and questions form, but mostly kept them to myself. Figured posting positive content about gardening, outdoors and tech was more my thing. But still I have questions about Hive I wonder how others feel, and just never brought them up.

Since doing my first poll after taking a one month break from regularly posting I asked the community what content do they like seeing me make the most. And homesteading/garden/farming won by a large margin.

So for the last month or so I have been focusing on that, as the community asked for. And having fun doing it as always.

But then I decided to ask a question that has been on my mind for a very long time.

“Is it okay to stake the bare minimum HP and withdraw everything else?”

Honestly I was not ready for all the feedback I got, and how quickly the idea was expanded upon by other authors in the community. Hundreds of comments, replies and many dozens of votes. Lots was said, and done. Within a matter of 72 hours, many new posts were made. And one even hit the top list of Peakd for the day.

When I see many other Hive Poll posts, they get only a few votes and even less comments. And its hard to really get a definitive answer when polling and commenting is so low. But I have been very successful in the amount of votes and comments my polls are getting. And many of my followers say they are enjoying seeing the feedback provided by these posts.

I feel with this success in asking these questions, I should keep going. So others can see the results and what the community has to say about it. I should be asking these questions for Hive. I feel like I should be doing this for Hive, as it is having quite the network effect.

So todays poll will be:

Should I keep asking these questions and doing polls for Hive? I may have more questions that may not want to be talked about, but I think its best to still bring up the concerns.

Or should I focus making what my followers voted for most in my first poll?

I do not plan on ever stopping gardening and homesteading, but I would be happy to also ask these questions in addition to my other posts I regularly make.

So should I continue?

More like a civil war! I haven't seen people this fired up since Justin Sun tried to take over! I think the poll option on posts is pretty cool and it's great that people are using it in a productive way. Getting a good sample size is always the chore with any sort of thing like this I think.

lol! It was quite surprising to see how quickly this has evolved.

Hahah no where near as bad as the Sun era!!! We still have PTSD!

I would say Yes, since it stated in your post, that it's your account and you can do what you want. I think.😊

Okay thanks.. that is true.

Yeah.. you're always welcome. 😊

It is very evident that your questions reach people and you get a considerable amount of responses. I think you should continue doing surveys, many of the answers serve to clear up doubts.
Great that you continue with your surveys, dear friend @solominer

Yes I think so as well, it has had a wide reaching effect.

It is very good that you have started the process of asking questions. Firstly, the readers also get to know and secondly, the community also gets a chance to know what are the opinions of the people. Taking feedback on any work has a very good effect.

So true.. I think it is important so everyone can see what others say as well.. along with a voting poll

Follow your heart... I think you brought some reality that many hiveans didn't know ...it triggered some consequences but you aren't the guilty ;)
I spent during the past week debating a lot and losing a lot of time that I could be doing posts... I had a nice trip that I was going to post about last Tuesday...it didn't come because I was discussing about these topics around lol...it is what it is!

Thanks, good points.

It is what it is.

I choose yes

okay thanks

I vote for you to continue because I am really enjoying itt

Ok good.. thanks for the vote

I think you should continue as I love to read the comments on these topics. A lot is being discussed in the comment section, the more I read them the more I discovered that there are so many things about Hive that I do not know about. But I am concerned about you though, can you keep up with the comments? As a mere reader, I know how long it took me to go through various comments and I can't imagine how much it would take for you to not just read but the reply constructively.

All the best all the same😃

Ah nice... and honestly it is a bit stressful responding to all the comments. But I should not have asked the question, if I was not ready for answers.

Lol it took about 2 hours in the last few days :-)

You should keep doing it
It’s never a bad idea to ask questions…

Yes I agree, it is never a bad idea to ask questions.

Your polls sparked a discussion which generated engagement. That matters on the social blockchain.

So true, thanks for the reminder.

Absolutely, the polls and questions give everyone the opportunity to choose. Yes the response may be few but hopefully it would get traction in the future

Ok good. I will keep asking...

Lol my polls get too many responses.. a good thing!

Yes. Healthy discussion is good. Plus it gives us all food for thought and sometimes something to write about. The last week has been very interesting indeed. Thankyou.
