The beauty with something like that is the general public has already grown accustomed to walking up to counter and exchanging their money for, tokens.
So you literally have them exchange it for them into Hive tokens.
Why the hell not? Why wouldnt this work?
Yeah. I'll call it Crypto Coin-op. Interested in a few laundromats as well? And of course factor in all the inherent perks and the ability to take these funds outside of the establishment and use them elsewhere. Don't have to pay staff to empty the machines. Self check in/out. Get the token in more hands, you can expand to vending machines. Phone booths lol.
Im actually going to go and try something like this.. Who knows, maybe it passes. Might even have it ready before Hivefest. Might set a precedant for stuff like your idea here.
Some might freak out at the idea of a chain store and how difficult that would be to run. One location is hard enough, right?
Apply that phone booth logic I offered. A chain store is 1000 identical units. Put all the resources into perfecting store 1, then build 999 clones. Same rule book for all. Operating 1 location 1000 times.
1000 stores all going in their own direction is a disaster. A costly mistake. Fair warning. lol (nervous laughter?)
When firing up a small business, I think the first and most common mistake people make is thinking their idea is awesome. We'll have people coming along asking for funding to sell yarn in the middle of nowhere, combined with 999 other ridiculous ideas. Majority will be mismanaged and fail. This is why I said I'd buy shelf space rather than acting all giddy thinking I could get an entire store to sell my merch out of this deal.
And by the way. I better get free shelf space out of this deal. lol
I want part of a wall. Eight feet wide. Starting at the ceiling and down four feet in a high traffic area but not behind the counter. In all locations, forever. I reserve the right to do whatever I want with it.
Hive does not and will never have enough resources to be able to fund a free-for-all. A decentralized chain store of sorts would be the route to take. Place the free-for-all inside of that. Far more efficient and profitable.
Give me a few weeks. Ill send you something. :)
I will not accept anything other than good news.
lol. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
