RE: A Shortish Guide to Urban Exploring in the United Kingdom

I'm not sure about taking kids into some of the nightmares I go to! This just doesn't do it justice at all, I felt I was in hell.

I struggled to get up the 'urinal wall', 4 heaves it took, that was last summer.. I'm a little better at it now.

Blimey, look at that! Some great photographs for writing prompts.

I know you want to go there really, @shanibeer!

Actually, I love doing that sort of thing - for all the reasons you describe and because it's fascinating. Access (and egress) is the main factor for me, I need to be able to walk in 😁

Many are walk-ins, many more are climbing through a window, pulling a loose sheet of metal back and sliding through, or scaling/jumping a small wall.

There will be places accessible to you, don't go alone (I do sometimes).

don't go alone

I'm too much of a scaredy cat!

Lol. I meant so that they didn't take up so much of my time and I had more time to myself! Any excuse for escape!! :0)

Ah, read it wrongly. Scotland is the best place (besides Wales where every other farmhouse is empty), I want to do an Urbex road trip up there.

There is loads of stuff defo, old numbers and factory's and houses a bit like that gentleman's club you looked at. Fab pickings!
