That would have been a beautiful house, the windows and proportions are very elegant. Whoever put that dreadful stair carpet down should be shot. It must have been all the rage at one time, I had a similar version in my house when I bought it. First thing to go, along with the bathroom carpet and toilet seat.

The overgrown arches still have their own majesty, just different from the intended.

I passed by the Littlewoods building earlier in the week - I had forgotten how massive it is and how iconic. Is it listed, do you know?

I seem to remember garish flowery carpets from the 70's. We had some on our stairs when I was a lad.

I'm not sure. I could have told you how to get in if you wanted a bash? Just a little climbing involved!

I thought the security was a bit (up)tight when you were there, so I didn't bother crossing the road!
