This is Michigan Central Depot in Detroit, MI. It was abandoned in 1988 and fell to ruins in the years since.

Ford Motor Company recently purchased the building/property and is now working diligently to restore it to it's former glory.

The construction was completed in 1913. The design was by the same firm(s) that designed New York Central Station. You may see the similarities.

As a teen, my friends and I would often visit the station. I've personally explored the building around 15 times. Making it to the roof maybe six of those.

I consider it my building as every time I entered it, I got chills.

I'm grateful for Ford restoring it as there were talks to demolish it.

I apologize for not having any photos of our explorations. At the time, we were not thinking about photos, just enjoyment.
