I missed the boat. North Wales

in Urban Exploration3 years ago

I first came across this little beauty in 2019, it was well hidden in a parcel of land with over grown bushes and trees.

I did investigate it, the doors and windows were undamaged, rotten but secure, even when I stumbled and fell against one.

It was not going anywhere; it was logged in the memory bank as one to watch, as it was clearly not lived in. Maybe the owner was temporarily in hospital, or in residential care. If they returned then all is good.

I was in the area this week, I went to see what I could see. Interesting! The shrubbery had been seriously cut back, the bungalow was clearly visible from the road.

An outside toilet,

The bathroom, the window broken open, once the vandalism starts there is no stopping it.

Three gowns on the door, not damp, not showing signs of mildew.

Wandering from room to room the demise has set in, the place has been gutted of furniture. Present when I last peeped through the windows.

The YTS scheme in the Uk was meant to offer life skills and work experience to those not deemed intelligent enough to progress to higher education. It was oft' used by unscrupulous organisations, on this occasion the local council, as a form of slave labour, get the kids in, work them like a normal employee, offer "on the job education" pay them central govt. funded pennies. Then at the end of the 12 month tenure. Finish them, recruit another. and repeat. and repeat. and repeat.

At least Hugh here, learnt how to put a fence up, in fact as an after thought he was invited to receive a Certificate for his achievements.

Great walk through this little bungalow. Sad to see it was vandalised after your last visit.
Funny that are still many things left esp. the gowns on the door. Looked just hung up.

Those kind of schemes you find in every country, even till this day.

👍 @littlebee4 yes sad to see its demise.
