THE ABANDONED COUNTRY MANSION

We were trying our best to avoid the motion detector cameras but utterly failed in our attempt to do so. As we approached the top of the hill and started to get closer to the building a loud robotic posh voice came bellowing out of speakers situated all around the building, " THIS IS A RESTRICTED AREA AND TRESPASSING IS FORBIDDEN, YOU ARE BEING WATCHED BY CCTV AND YOUR IMAGES WILL BEEN USED AS EVIDENCE AGAINST YOU".
This location was a bit of a mission to get to for @slobberchops and myself. I felt like we were walking through some kind of Amazon rainforest or something.

With the thought of security turning up any time soon we both went around the property as quickly as possible.

I looked inside the building to see that all the floors had gone and the building look like it only needed a slight gust of wind and it would collapse. I said to slobberchops, I'm not going into this one! But I had no reply to my comment? Looking around to see why he didn't reply, there was no sign of him, he vanished? Looking back around through the window of the crumbling building I caught a glimpse of the back of slobberchops already in the building.
So took a deep breath and thought fuck it! I followed suit and entered the building.
As I was entering the building I heard the loud CCTV cameras speakers go off again and presumed the swat team wannabees had turned up and set the motion detectors off? I said to slobberchops "someone's here!". No response again from him? I turned around to see slobberchops in the middle of the crumbling building.Even though @slobberchops had warm me about the motion detector cameras it still made me jump out my skin when they kicked in. In the back of mind, I kept expecting a van load of security swat team wannabees pulling up in black van pouring out the back of it with cuffs and guns shouting orders to "drop your cameras on the ground and put your hands above your head!". My overactive imagination and too many action movies haha.

I repeated "someones here!" this time he heard me with the reply "someones here?" and then quickly started to make his way to the exit.

As I followed him towards the exit I quickly got a few shots on the way out of what remains of the front room fireplace.

And one of the other rooms situated to the left of the front door.

As we both emerged from the front door of the building I got ready to drop my camera and raise my hands for the Swat team wannabees, but to our surprise, there was no one to be seen just a beautiful view of the landscape that lay before us.

Once we had discovered that no security or anyone else was there we both ventured around the back of the building to find an open-air swimming pool, it was empty apart from the weeds that had taken route in the remains of it. I thought to myself, it must have been very cold talking a swim-up here. .
As we carried on our exploration of the building we saw a few outbuilding that I presumed use to be stables. But there was not really much more to see, so we ended up calling it day and decide to walk down the drive rather than going back the way we came through the Amazon forest. As we got near the bottom of the drive I turned around and got a shot of the driveway that led up to the country mansion.
Before we left the area I wanted to get a shot of the front of the building in all its glory.
If you watch the video you will get to hear the history of this country mansion and the reason why it's been left to get in its current decayed state. You will be surprised to hear that the building is not a listed building so there is not much hope for the future of it, as the rumor is that its set for demolition.
