You know, I agree with the points mentioned. Sometimes, it's not that the person is no longer good enough for us. It's just that those butterflies we usually feel at the beginning of it all suddenly vanishes, because those things we used to do together at the beginning of everything are no longer there. You really hit the nail on the head.

Thanks for your contribution. Those activities need to come back for the love to remain.

I never thought of it from this dimension at all. I agree. Couples tend to feel too comfortable with time, and they stop doing those things that made their partner want them at the beginning.

Those date nights, time spent on calls and texts, romantic outings, and blah blah need to be reignited for the love to be rekindled.

I think you forgot to add that love sometimes fades when there is a lack of contentment, or if the so-called love was actually motivated by greed or selfish reasons.

Selfishness can be a reason, yes. Sometimes lack of proper evaluation can be another. In the end, interest will be lost with time, and we'd begin to ask ourselves what went wrong.

Apart from the above, what about distance? Doesn't that matter too?

Yes, it does, Distance can really influence the health of a relationship.

How long do you think love lasts? Personally, I think it has no expiration date if your feelings are sincere and mutual. I wish I had that kind of love, so I'm desperately trying to find it on dating.com . I'm in a parallel relationship with several girls right now and one I like more than the others. I hope she will be the one!
