Hello beautiful readers and Makeup Power community. I decided to join this initiative of @vero.perez27 and not only tell you my makeup experience but also #hive. You can read my experience and how I grew up in this makeup world in my post HAPPY MAKEUP ARTIST'S DAY✨
Si les digo que algún día pensé vivir del maquillaje les miento totalmente, para mí el "ser maquilladora" era algo lejano yo necesitaba una "carrera seria". Al principio era un desastre, pero yo me sentía diva y divina jajaja ahora veo las fotos y bueno... Veo todas las fallas, pero también veo una chica que estaba haciendo lo mejor que podía con los materiales y conocimientos que tenía, una chica que a lo mejor no sabía que iba a llegar a maquillar como lo hace; si tuviera que volver en el tiempo y me llevarán a ese lugar exacto le diría "No te rindas, sigue asi, vas muy bien". Eran días y noches en las que yo estaba en constante práctica, sin saber nada pero queria hacer TODO y soñaba con ir a una academia algún día. Toda mi fe y esperanza fue puesta en Dios y así se cumplió ❤️
If I tell you that one day I thought about making a living from makeup, I'm totally lying, for me "being a makeup artist" was something far away, I needed a "serious career". At the beginning it was a disaster, but I felt diva and divine hahaha now I see the pictures and well.... I see all the flaws, but I also see a girl who was doing the best she could with the materials and knowledge she had, a girl who maybe didn't know she was going to get to make up like she does; if I had to go back in time and be taken to that exact place I would tell her "Don't give up, keep it up, you're doing great". Those were days and nights where I was in constant practice, not knowing anything but wanting to do EVERYTHING and dreaming of going to an academy someday. All my faith and hope was put in God and it was fulfilled ❤️
Aún me queda camino por recorrer eso lo sé, no soy la mejor, hay muchos artistas que tienen más tiempo y más trayecto. Pero aún así me siento orgullosa de lo que he logrado hasta ahora, cada maquillaje, cada plan que he realizado lo he hecho con mucha dedicación y paciencia... Me gustaría en un futuro pertenecer a un Team de maquillaje, ser contratada por grandes empresas y/o eventos, televisión, desfiles, entre otros... Pero como dicen por allí todo lleva su tiempo (si quieren contratarme contactenme 😂). Yo les digo NUNCA SE RINDAN, capaz sientas que no estás avanzando pero cuando visualizas anteriores trabajos puedes decir "Wow he avanzado muchísimo, se más cosas; y me gustaría mejorar aún más"
I still have a long way to go, I know that, I'm not the best, there are many artists who have more time and more journey. But even so I am proud of what I have achieved so far, every makeup, every plan I have made I have done with great dedication and patience ... I would like in the future to belong to a make-up team, to be hired by big companies and/or events, television, fashion shows, among others... But as they say over there everything takes time (if you want to hire me contact me 😂). I tell them NEVER GIVE UP, you may feel that you are not advancing but when you visualize previous jobs you can say "Wow I have advanced a lot, I know more things; and I would like to improve even more".
¿A qué edad iniciaste en el mundo del maquillaje?/At what age did you start in the world of makeup?
| A la edad de 18 años puede decirse que inicie de manera "seria" como un "Realmente quiero dedicarme a esto", sin embargo como les he mencionado reiteradas veces no estaba preparada, solo era una chica jugando con maquillaje (digámoslo así) y bueno no fue hasta los 20 años que decido tomarme en serio el mundo del maquillaje y aprender "por mi misma". Por más que intentaba no me veia como esas chicas de Instagram y sus fotos fabulosas y luminosas; trataba de perfecionar mi pulso, mi difuminado y lo que pudiera aprender con vídeos de YouTube. Aunque no lo crean fue en Octubre de 2020 que pude formarme y obtener mi certificado de "Professional Makeup Artist", siendo esa formación lo que me faltaba para pulir me en este medio | At the age of 18 I could say that I started "seriously" as a "I really want to do this", however as I have mentioned many times I was not prepared, I was just a girl playing with makeup (let's say it that way) and well it wasn't until I was 20 years old that I decided to take seriously the world of makeup and learn "by myself". As much as I tried I didn't look like those girls on Instagram and their fabulous and luminous photos; I tried to perfect my pulse, my blurring and what I could learn from YouTube videos. Believe it or not, it was in October 2020 that I was able to train and get my "Professional Makeup Artist" certificate, being that training what I was missing to polish myself in this medium. |

| Se los cuento sencillo, pero realmente no a Sido fácil comentarios como "ahora quiere ser maquilladora, no sabe que inventarse" o nunca falta el "yo tengo una amiga que es maquilladora profesional y ella no hace eso como tú", "si te quedó bonitico, igual te falta" siempre es un golpe duro a nuestro ego y esfuerzo; la falta de capital para los materiales porque no solo es maquillarte, es la escenografía, las fotos, la iluminación, hay un gran trabajo detrás de todo. Por ello cuando me dicen "porque cobras tanto por algo que se te hace tan fácil" bueno... Porque es mi trabajo, y realmente me costó aprender, luche día y noche para que se me hiciera "fácil" | I tell them simply, but it really has not been easy to hear comments like "now she wants to be a makeup artist, she doesn't know what to do" or "I have a friend who is a professional makeup artist and she doesn't do that like you", "if it looks nice, you still need it" is always a hard blow to our ego and effort; the lack of capital for the materials because it is not only makeup, it is the scenery, the photos, the lighting, there is a lot of work behind it all. ¿Te maquillas para el diario o lo haces solo en ocasiones especiales?|Do you wear makeup every day or do you do it only on special occasions?
| Miren esto es algo muy gracioso porque de verdad para el diario me da mucha pereza maquillarme, soy una chica con muchas ocupaciones, estudio, trabajo, doy cursos de maquillaje, trabajo por citas con cejas y pestañas, y ahora escribo para Hive (que por cierto amo muchísimo, gracia por abrirme las puertas) el levantarme y maquillarme con algo "sencillito" no puedo, cuando me maquillo es para que la piel me quedé super bien y aunque me tome (ahora, antes tardaba más) solo 10 o 15 min de mi tiempo lo ocupo para que no se me olviden otras cosas jajaja. Así que me maquillo para crear contenido, y en ocasiones especiales que son una vez por mes jajaja. Realmente todos los días me veo como en la foto, cuando digo "soy maquilladora" la gente me ve y dice "imposible"😂😂. | Look at this is something very funny because I'm really lazy to do my makeup every day, I'm a girl with many occupations, I study, work, give makeup courses, work for appointments with eyebrows and eyelashes, and now I write for Hive (which I love very much by the way, thank you for opening the doors for me) I can't get up and do my makeup with something "simple", when I do my makeup it's so that my skin looks great and even though it takes me (now, it used to take longer) only 10 or 15 minutes of my time I use it so that I don't forget other things hahaha. ¿Que te motiva a maquillarte y por qué?
| Creo que más que motivación, siento que es uno de los propósitos en mi vida, cuando realice mi certificación aprendí tan rápido, puedo recrear maquillajes con solo verlos en una foto no incluye todo los artísticos 😂😂, soy una maquilladora que se inclina más a lo social glam; el estar en todo el show, el movimiento, realzar la belleza de una persona y ver ese rostro lleno de luz diciendo "me veo hermosa" es algo que me llena totalmente, quiero que las mujeres se sientan empoderadas así sea por un momento y dejen sus inseguridades a un lado, el maquillaje no se trata de una fachada o una mentira se trata de demostrar la belleza del cliente o del lienzo, y el arte del maquillador, como les he dicho en anteriores post cualquiera puede "pintar" pero solo una artista logra "maquillar" está de nuestra parte tener ese deseo y desarrollar esos talentos, el amor, y el deseo de querer hacerlo. A unas se les hará más sencillo, capaz y a otras un poco más complicado pero cada quien tiene su camino y hay que mirar al frente❤️ | I think more than motivation, I feel it's one of the purposes in my life, when I did my certification I learned so fast, I can recreate makeup looks just by seeing them in a photo doesn't include all the artistic ones 😂😂, I'm a makeup artist that leans more towards social glam; being in the whole show, the movement, enhancing a person's beauty and seeing that face full of light saying "I look beautiful" is something that totally fulfills me, I want women to feel empowered even for a moment and leave their insecurities aside, makeup is not about a facade or a lie, it is about showing the beauty of the client or the canvas, and the art of the makeup artist, as I have said in previous posts anyone can "paint" but only an artist can "make up", it is up to us to have that desire and develop those talents, love, and the desire to want to do it. Some will find it easier, and others a little more complicated, but everyone has their own path and we must look ahead❤️ |

¿Que consejos darías a los chicos y chicas nuevas en la comunidad?|What advice would you give to guys and girls new to the community?
| Aunque no lo crean yo aún me considero nueva en Hive y en la comunidad 😂, entre y conocí de la plataforma en Abril de este año así que sobre Hive no creo que sea la más experta para dar consejos. Ahora bien, no voy a negar que he recibido recompenzas buenas desde que inicié aca, yo misma me sorprendí; me escribían a mí chat privado "¿Como lo hacía y que consejos les daba?" Y bueno a nivel de "vender" tu contenido yo lo que hago es ser yo misma aunque no lo crean, no trato de imitar a nadie quiero que mi contenido sea lo más original posible y lo más importante que aprendan de mi, cuando ustedes entren a mi blog digan "aquí hay contenido con el cual pueda aprender". Ahora consejos para crear contenido serían estos: Informarse bien, he visto muchos post que hablan de técnicas que no están correctamente hechas de hecho ví un post que hablaba sobre una técnica que está en tendencia y parecía un Ahumado, entonces chicas si ustedes no están muy seguras de lo que van hacer pues busquen una foto guía o en Instagram y vean si el resultado les quedó parecido o igual, recuerden que estamos transmitiendo información a personas que no saben del tema y quieren aprender. | Believe it or not, I still consider myself new to Hive and the community 😂, I joined and learned about the platform in April this year, so I don't think I'm the most expert to give advice about Hive. Now, I will not deny that I have received good rewards since I started here, I myself was surprised; I wrote to me private chat "How did I do it and what tips I gave them?" Elijan la mejor foto como portada y que se vea el trabajo que realizaron ❤️; Sigan intentando Aunque un maquillaje no les salga bien, sigan practicando... La práctica va a ser su mejor aliada; Trabajen con mucha luz si se maquillan en una zona poco iluminada no van a ver los detalles, entonces cuando vayan a la luz y se tomen la fotos van a sentir que se ven pálidas o no se veía igual a como les había quedado | Sharp photos Look for your best angle, light and so on. Choose the best photo as a cover and show the work you did ❤️; Keep trying Even if a make-up doesn't come out well, keep practicing.... Practice will be your best ally; Work with lots of light if you do your makeup in a dimly lit area you won't see the details, then when you go to the light and take the photos you will feel that you look pale or it didn't look the same as it did. |
