Hello! My dear artist Hiver. Do you know the meaning of the cherry blossom or Sakura in Japan?
Me siento realmente ilusionada con el resultado del maquillaje artístico que me realicé hoy. Tenía varios días con la idea, pero nunca antes había hecho algo así y sentía un poco de inseguridad; intentar cosas nuevas siempre asusta. Pero hoy decidí fortalecerme con la simbología espiritual de esta flor y estoy muy feliz de compartirlo contigo.
I'm really excited about the result of the make-up artistry I did today. I had been thinking about it for several days, but I had never done anything like this before and I felt a bit insecure; trying new things is always scary. But today I decided to strengthen myself with the spiritual symbolism of this flower and I am very happy to share it with you.
La flor de cerezo o Sakura, más allá de ser fisicamente hermosa, de acuerdo a la cultura Japonesa y a la filosofía Budista, tiene un mágico significado espiritual. Las flores tienen un ciclo de vida muy corto, solo florecen en primavera y rapidamente se cae para dar paso a los frutos del arbol, por ello, es un simbolo de flexión sobre lo efímero de la vida, pero también de la belleza que resguarda la fragilidad.
The cherry blossom or Sakura, beyond being physically beautiful, according to Japanese culture and Buddhist philosophy, has a magical spiritual meaning. The flowers have a very short life cycle, only bloom in spring and quickly fall to make way for the fruits of the tree, therefore, is a symbol of reflection on the ephemeral nature of life, but also of the beauty that protects the fragility.
Además de eso, personalmente le añado un significado más especial. Soy en definitiva una chica Disney y una de las princesas que más amo es Mulan. En la película de Mulan hay una escena en la cual su padre utiliza esta flor como ejemplo de fortaleza, resiliencia y belleza a través de una frase que siempre mantengo en mi corazón:
In addition to that, I personally add a more special meaning to it. I am definitely a Disney girl and one of the princesses I love the most is Mulan. In the Mulan movie there is a scene in which her father uses this flower as an example of strength, resilience and beauty through a phrase that I always keep in my heart:

Because of its special meaning, I had the idea of doing this artistic makeup inspired by the cherry blossom or Sakura. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Paso a paso // Step by step
En esta ocasión inicie colocándome base en mi rostro y cuello para que se fijara bien el delineado y la sombra que utilizaría para realizar las flores de cerezo. Luego de difuminar bien mi base, utilicé un crayón de color marrón para trazar las primeras líneas del árbol, como especie de guía para no equivocarme cuando utilizara el delineador. Nota: Para lograr que el crayón marcara mi piel sumergí la punta en agua. Nota 2: Lo ideal seria utilizar lapiz para cejas, pero no tengo.
This time I started by applying foundation on my face and neck so that the eyeliner and the shadow I would use to make the cherry blossoms would set well. After blending my foundation well, I used a brown crayon to draw the first lines of the tree, as a kind of guide so I wouldn't make a mistake when I used the eyeliner. Note: To get the crayon to mark my skin I dipped the tip in water. Note 2: The ideal would be to use eyebrow pencil, but I don't have any.
Como te comenté, las líneas de color marrón solo las utilizaría de guía para después realizar las ramas del árbol con delineador. Luego utilicé la esponja con la que me aplico la base y con mucho cuidado borre las marcas del crayón marrón sin dificultad. Luego seleccioné 3 colores de mi paleta de sombras y para realizar las flores solo alterne estos colores y me los apliqué haciendo pequeños puntos sobre las ramas.
As I told you, I would only use the brown lines as a guide to make the branches of the tree with eyeliner. Then I used the sponge with which I apply my foundation and carefully erased the brown crayon marks without difficulty. Then I selected 3 colors from my eyeshadow palette and to make the flowers I just alternated these colors and applied them making small dots on the branches.

Para darle más cuerpo a las flores, utilice un poquito de base y con la ayuda de una brocha delgada, agregue pequeños puntos en el centro de la flor. Luego de eso, utilicé los mismos 3 colores con los que realicé las flores para maquillar mis ojos.
To give more body to the flowers, I used a little bit of foundation and with the help of a thin brush, I added small dots in the center of the flower. After that, I used the same 3 colors I used for the flowers to make up my eyes.
Completé todo el look con polvo compacto en mi rostro y cuello, rubor, mascará de pestañas y un labial color rosado y este fue el resultado:
I completed the whole look with pressed powder on my face and neck, blush, mascara and a pink lipstick and this was the result:
