What it is not for
- Payments for exchange listings
Good, because Hive do not pay for listings and I strongly prefer for it to stay that way.
Anyway.. good idea, discussed many times, thank you for handling this @guiltyparties

What can't hive pay for listings, it's just business? Maybe that's the problem with HIVE right there, ever think of that? HIVE sucks as a coin because nobody knows about it yet, too little exchanges, not enough squeaky wheels being greased with the golden hive honey.
Paying exchanges for listing make sense only for scam coins when it's not profitable for exchange to have such coin listed and it's associated with high risk. Hive never paid and is listed on Bittrex, Binance, Bithumb, MXC among many others. And yes, it's all about business after all, people pay fees for every transaction made there I see no reason to pay additionally to someone who are getting opportunity to make money. If anything it should be the other way around.
Forgive me for the unrelated response but is there anyway to get @coingecko to change the API that they are using for the supply data that is displayed on their site? They are using the one from hive-db.com which hasn't been updated in ages.
just please let them know (not sure if they are watching Hive notification though)
I sent them a direct message on twitter, maybe they will respond.
Can you let me know if they respond to you?
Sure thing.
They just responded and are asking me for a link for their API. Per there response they are using https://hive-db.com/api/props (which clearly is way behind on the last_irreversible_block_num.
