When it comes to matters of the heart, it can be tempting to pursue love, affection, and attention from others. However, it's important to remember that if it's not freely given, it's not worth pursuing.
There are many reasons why someone might feel the need to pursue love, affection, or attention from others. Perhaps they feel lonely and are looking for companionship, or they may feel insecure and are seeking validation from others. Whatever the reason may be, it's important to understand that pursuing these things can often lead to disappointment and heartache.

One of the main reasons why pursuing love, affection, or attention from others is not worth it is because it can be a one-sided relationship. If you are constantly seeking these things from someone who is not willing or able to give them freely, you will likely find yourself feeling frustrated and unfulfilled. This can lead to resentment and can ultimately damage the relationship beyond repair.
Another reason why pursuing love, affection, or attention from others is not worth it is that it can be manipulative. When we are constantly seeking these things from others, we can inadvertently put pressure on them to give us what we want. This can lead to feelings of guilt or obligation, which can ultimately lead to resentment and a breakdown in the relationship.
Instead of pursuing love, affection, or attention from others, it's important to focus on building healthy, mutually beneficial relationships. This means finding people who are willing and able to give these things freely, without any pressure or expectation from you. It also means being willing to give these things to others, without any expectation of reciprocity.
When we focus on building healthy relationships based on mutual respect and understanding, we can create strong, lasting connections with others. We can also build our own self-esteem and self-worth, which can help us to feel more confident and fulfilled in all areas of our lives.
In conclusion, pursuing love, affection, or attention from others is not worth it if it's not freely given. Instead, we should focus on building healthy, mutually beneficial relationships based on respect and understanding. By doing so, we can create strong, lasting connections with others and build our own self-esteem and self-worth.
I understand the angle you are coming from, love needs to be mutual, it shouldn't be chased and chased by just one person, if it isn't mutual then it isn't interesting and I don't think we can still call it love at that point (I may be wrong though).
