RE: Crying: Does Your Soul Cry?

I recognize that sometimes I can disconnect from my emotions. I don't know if it's good or bad.
And crying doesn't seem to me to be a sign of weakness at all. It's a way of draining our emotions like any other. And I believe that sometimes we need it.
Cheers, amiga! xoxo

Xoxoxo Happy Friday!

Hmm. This is a very interesting comment, actually.

Is disconnecting from emotions good or bad?

I have often wondered about it.

As a highly emotional person, sometimes I have to disconnect from my emotions or else I am unable to function.

I work in a very highly emotional place - the emergency room for children. I have seen terrible accidents that look like stuff from horror movies. At those times, I have to disconnect from my emotions (which would make me cry or panic) or I won't be able to do my job.

So I think the question is: why do you disconnect from your emotions? Is it a temporary or a constant thing? Does it affect your ability to relate to other human beings?
Does it affect your relationship with yourself and with others?

To me, disconnecting sometimes is a good thing! It can help you to be logical, firm, and make decisions clearly.

But so is reconnecting with your emotions especially for yourself and for the people you love.

Sending you lots of light & love!

Once again, thank you @bloghound for opening such an interesting conversation 😀

I guess it's hard to cope with that job and a clear case that sometimes it is necessary to disconnect from our emotions to do what needs to be done.

In my case, it's not something I do all the time, but I do have the capacity to do it when I feel that what is happening around me can overcome me. As I said, I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing, it just is.

Have a good Sunday!
