Today i bring to you my participation for this week's pixelart contest #11 which theme is "Desert" thanks to @Kristyglas as always for making this awesome contests!! :D this time i choose to make a pic that i like a lot, it's from a little oasis outside of Abu Dhabi, below i will leave the reference :3
Hoy les traigo mi participación para el pixelart contest #11 cuyo tema es "desierto" muchas gracias a @Kristyglas como siempre por hacer estos concursos tan geniales! :D Esta vez escogí hacer una foto que me gusta mucho, es de Abu Dhabi, un pequeño oasis cercano a Abu Dhabi, debajo dejaré la referencia :3

Above is the color palette i used on this work, it just has 31 colors :3 and below is the sketch, as you can see there's a lot of diagonal lines, that's because the perspective of the pic it's kind of intricate, there's a lot going on, that's why i choose it, seemed like fun 😂
Arriba como siempre, esta la paleta de colores usada en este trabajo, solo tiene 31 colores :3 debajo está el boceto, como pueden ver hay muchas líneas diagonales, eso se debe a que la perspectiva de la foto es algo intrincada, por eso la escogí, se veía divertido 😂
As you can see in the images i started with the nearest building, making little details to see how it fits the composition and later started with the "floor" buildings" yup i called them like that, even on the layers 😂 but something was off, i don't like the inclination of the little building.
Como pueden ver en las imágenes, empecé con la edificación más cercana, haciendo pequeños detalles para ver como cuadraba con la composición para luego empezar con los "edificios del piso" sip los llame así, incluso en las capas 😂 pero algo estaba mal, no me gusta la inclinación de la edificación pequeña.

It was kind of a mess but you can appreciate that the little building was rebuilt and the nearest one is taller, it's looking better but because the background is kind of empty it looks really weird so lets continue.
Estaba algo desordenado, pero pueden apreciar que el edificio pequeño fue reconstruido y el mas cercano ahora es más alto, se ve mejor, pero porque el fondo está algo vacío se ve algo extraño, continuemos.
Now that's looking better, also the trees and the green in the whole composition gives it a little more life, but the trees are kind of little so let make them grow and finish the other buildings :3
Ahora se ve mejor, además los árboles y el verde en la composición completa le dan un poco mas de vida, pero los árboles se ven como pequeños, hagamos que crezcan y terminemos las edificaciones del fondo :3

Acá pueden apreciar un poco mas de detalles y cómo cambian toda la imagen, además se añadió un poco de textura a todas las edificaciones.

Please could you tell me which software you did it with?
Another thing, how did you go about expanding the size of the image so that the sharpness and pixelation were not lost?

and yup, i use Aseprite, but the resizing process is the same there as it is on photoshop, when clicking resize or change size you must have marked "keep aspect ratio" and then choosing the one you desire, also in the settings the scaling must be set to "nearest neighbor" so he pixels won't be altered. Also there's an option when you select to export your work from the main file which lets you scale it up to 10x :3

Estuve algo preocupado cuando finalizaba la semana pasada. No veía muchas participaciones en el concurso, pero ahora estoy más que tranquilo, al juzgar la dedicación y calidad de tu pixel art. Cada día lo haces mejor.
Sin importar el resultado del concurso, hicistes una magnifica obra.
