After looking closer at the Alpha Production Points for the Splinterlands land expansion, we are looking today at the Beta set, including how many Beta cards can exist and how many Production Points will the set have in total.
Keep in mind that there are still 21,313 unoped Beta packs in circulation so the following numbers can grow slightly over time.

Edit: I have updated the % as I had a calculation error before:
There can only be 13,437 plots with 5 maxed Beta cards. That is 8.96% of the total supply of land plots in Praetoria.
In my last Post Alpha Production Points, we found out that there can only be 2,313 land plots with 5 maxed Alpha cards, which is 1.54% of the total land supply. Together, they are filling merely around 10.5% of all land plots!
Alpha has 134,263,853 total Production Points. Beta has 526,048,347. Together, the Alpha and Beta sets have a potential total of 660,312,201 base PP.
What is interesting to see, is that despite Alpha having twice the multiplier with 10x vs 5x for Beta, the total PP of Beta is still four times higher than Alpha. The larger supply makes it possible.
I suspect that this will probably be the same for Untamed and Chaos, who have lower multipliers but much larger supply.
But that is a story, that shall be told on another day.
I'm loving your work on this, but once again you have made a calculation error. 13,437 is 8.96% of the total 150,000 total plots. Seems you made an additional division by 5 that you shouldn't have.
Ok, I got it now, I already used 750,000 worker slots instead of 150,000 plots - and then divided it by another 5 which was my error. Thanks 😅
Thanks for your feedback. I was wondering about that as well when I was going through the numbers but I think this is right. Let me know if I have missed something. Here is what I did:
If there are 67,184 total Beta cards, I divide them by 750,000 for the total plots. Now that is 8.96% like you write. However, this means only that there could be 1 Beta on 8.96% different plots. If we put 5 Betas on each plot, we have only one fifth of that, so 13,437, which is 1.79% of the total 750,000 plots.
Is it possible to calculate a rough ROI for buying/opening Beta packs and using them on land?
Peakmonsters has a a feature for Best PP / Cost Ratio. You can try to look for a floor for Beta cards with that.
And packs get usually four commons and one rare. That is 190 PP guaranteed, with room for much more.
No idea how to calculate a ROI with that without knowing the prices of Grain and the PP to SPS farming value. Something we will have to wait until land 1.5 starts.
Thank you for the information. We had a battle on Splinterlands yesterday. Your team won.😄
