Good Day to all Splinterlands players! (and people of HIVE! 😜) A new week always means a new entry in my "weekly diary".

This is now the 20th consecutive week writing in my Diary (of sorts) detailing my Splinterlands Journey ever since I started this game. Of course, this also marks my 20th weekly giveaway! 🎉🥳🎊 (Like WOW!!! IT'S BEEN 20 WEEKS! 🤯😱)

Last week saw the passing of yet another End of Season. I actually expected my fingers to get cramped from having to snipe up "cheap" rentals to make up enough power to enter the gold leagues. But in a stroke of amazing luck, some kind soul listed a huge 150k of collection power in just 2 cards at just 30DEC each and I managed to snap that up! That pushed me straight to Gold 1 where I could just relax for the rest of the day. ✨👍🏻✨

I unfortunately did not manage to snag that mythical Gold Foil Legendary in one of the reward chests (which is about 0.008% 🤣 - yes it's that low! so no surprise at my "failure" 😜). I've not had the luck to get a Gold Foil Legendary from any chests or packs so far since I started the game. So my quest to attain one continues on! 😁 🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻🍀

But enough about my End of Season talk 😊. No week goes by in Splinterlands without some news event happening though. And here's my pick of some of the most interesting ones in my opinion. 📰📰📰

💸💰💎SPS on Crypto.com💸💰💎

Yup, you read my headline correctly indeed. This is NOT a belated April's Fool joke! 🤯😱🤑

Crypto.com is one of the big name crypto exchanges in the world. I'm sure lots of you have crypto.com accounts and have seen their huge marketing tagline "Fortune Favours the Brave" with Matt Damon too. (Well, if you've REALLY been living under a rock and not seen the ad, I've linked it here below 😉)

So, anyway back to the Splinterlands tieup announcement. An SPS:USDT trading pair is now available on Crypto.com and there will even be a huge marketing campaign on their platform to reward users with $500,000 worth of SPS tokens. Here's the LINK to the announcement by Splinterlands.

Take a look at the exchange itself too. The liquidity there is pretty decent with over 38k USDT being traded in the past 24 hours (as of today). 🤑💸💰

This is an absolute GAMECHANGER in my opinion. Splinterlands SPS token has now gone mainstream into the mass market. This allows people with even no idea about Splinterlands to just pickup and buy and sell the SPS token easily. Not to mention, it makes the SPS token that we hold in our Splinterlands account a lot more liquid, which in my opinion makes it a lot more valuable too! 🤑💸💰

There will be trickle down effects just from this listing. It'll attract a larger play2earn player base, whose main concern is usually liquidity, and that means more players and therefore more buzz about the game. That leads to rising asset values for everyone. I'm personally a HODLER and have not sold any assets and reinvested all earnings back into Splinterlands/HIVE. And as a pseudo "investor" in Splinterlands by virtue of holding onto it's assets, I'm BULLISH on Splinterlands future! 💎🙌🏻💰

This is not financial advice, but now that SPS is at such a low price, and with the airdrop ending in approximately 100 days, it's time to scoop up as much SPS as you can afford. I know I've been buying SPS with as much of my spare HIVE as possible recently and in fact, the prices of SPS have already been inching upwards! 📈📈📈

Fortune Favours the Brave indeed! 🤣 This is a small risk at such discounted prices for SPS at the moment.

If you think the listing on crypto.com was all the major news last week, think again! Another major announcement are the plans for Splinterlands TV with 24/7 Splinterlands content being streamed everyday. It's like Splinterlands is going into the network broadcasting business too! 😱🎥

Seeing how Esports is now a massive (and still growing) industry which in 2021 alone was valued at $1.08 BILLION and expected to grow to $2billion in 2022, this is most definitely a great move by Splinterlands. Having consumable content that is available 24/7 will bring in eyeballs from the enormous untapped potential of the entire gaming market that will translate into yet more Splinterlands players and increased asset value! 📈💰🤑

It's also really generous that the platform allows all the streamers to keep the entirety of the revenue generated without Splinterlands taking any cut from it. This speaks well of the company and shows that it's focus is on growth and not purely on profits at all costs. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

And now, for an update on the number of Chaos Legion packs sold thus far. About 58k sold since last week. Still not too bad. That is still quite an amazing sales figure! 😄

Here's the current count (as of the moment I'm writing this post) of the number of packs sold, and we're 922k away from the 9 million mark! 😄 Which also means everyone has a chance to get in now and grab more packs for the remaining airdrops! 😜
